Visiting Scottsdale for a few days with girlfriends and stopped in here after two other wine tastings on the trail. One we had a flight at, the second we went in and saw the menu being so selective on flights and left without ordering and ventured to stop number 3 which was Salvatore. Let me tell you, this should be a MUST stop if you are a true wine lover! Don't bother with another winery in the area. Come here and stay here!
We walked in about 4:30pm on a Sunday and didn't walk out until about 6:30pm. We had an amazing time here visiting with the one wine master and learning about the owner, wines and balsamic and olive oils.
We had the absolute best experience with Ameia. She gave us the run down on how she works with people that come in for wine tastings and the differences between flights. I cannot say enough good things about Ameia. She has such a kind heart and very knowledgeable about the wines that are offered here. The three of us made a personal connection with her and were so glad to connect through social media to stay in touch. She works at the winery two days a week so hopefully you'll catch her while she's working.
With 3 girls, we enjoyed a sweet flight and the reserve flight between us. Ameia explained each wine to us as we tried them. Let me tell you, the wines here are top-notch and worth trying if you're a wino. I love sweet wines and fell in love with the Moscato, Zinfandel, and port! Between all of us, we split a case of 12 wines to be shipped back home.
The olive oils and balsamic vinaigrette are also just as crafty and tasty as their wines. The chocolate strawberry balsamic and mango white balsamic are beyond tasty! They also ship these as well. We did a case of these too!
Please take time while you're in Scottsdale to visit this little shop and enjoy some truly...
Read moreFirst off, Amera was phenomenal! I stopped in on a Monday afternoon with my wife and ended up staying all evening. We were immediately greeted and asked about our pallets. My wife and I have a pretty opposite palettes but we were assured they had something for both of us. Amera started us off with the whites. I am a wine sommelier so I take a little different tact in tasting. I generally don't care for the sweeter wines but I found a moscato and a sweet reisling both to be quite nice. Neither were overly sweet and both allowed the flavor of the fruit to come through and not be over powered by sweetness. Both of these also came in right around 13%. It's rare to find a wine we both enjoy but both of these fit the bill. With each wine Amera explained what it was, the flavor profile and what the alcohol content was. After the whites we moved on to the reds. I didn't find a single one I didn't enjoy. Of particular note, I very much enjoyed the Day Tripper. I generally try to avoid blends with more than a few grapes involved as it masks the individual characteristics of the grapes but this one really shined. The flavors were great. It was extremely well blended. Overall the wines here are top notch. So much so I bought a case and joined their wine club. Even better than the wines were the people. We were the for a good while and met some great people. Great wine and great people make for an...
Read moreVery disappointed in my order of wine from Salvatore Vineyards. We were at the tasting room in December and enjoyed the experience, so we ordered 6 bottles of wine for a total price over $600. After 3 months we had not yet received a shipment. We reached out to cancel and an order was shipped to us, only to be returned by the shipping company for unknown reason. When it was shipped out to us a second time we received the six bottles with two bottles having the corks popping. After reaching out the Salvatore Vineyards to get this resolved we were told that there’s nothing wrong with the wine that we can drink it. We like to collect wine and choose when we drink our wine and I don’t believe a cork that is half exposed will allow for the wine to be preserved until we are ready to drink it. Normally corks that push out of bottle is a result of fermentation still happening inside the bottle. Very bad customer service. I would not recommend doing...
