I consider myself incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon A & B Pizza during my visit to Seaside. Like most travelers, I researched the best places to eat, but honestly, many of those so-called "top picks" felt like they were more about high traffic and tourist hype than actual quality. I'm so glad I trusted my gut and decided to try A & B Pizza—it was an absolute game-changer.

Upon arriving, I was immediately struck by the business hours—only from 5 to 8 pm. I thought to myself, “Either they’re really good, or they’re struggling with staff.” Little did I know, I had just found the best pizza around. Parking in the lot was a bit of a puzzle, but I managed to figure it out, and the anticipation grew as I walked inside.

The vibe was quiet, almost too quiet, but the moment I stepped in, the smell of fresh, mouth-watering pizza hit me like a wave. The aroma alone told me this was going to be something special. I noticed a lone man working behind the counter—just one person, doing it all. I was mesmerized watching him work, turning out each pizza like it was a masterpiece.

Then, a local walked in and said, “Man, I’ve been out of state for a couple of years, and no one does pizza like you.” That was the moment I knew I had made the right choice. This wasn’t just any pizza place—it was the pizza place.

When the pizza arrived, it didn’t take long before it was devoured. It was honestly the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. The crust was perfect, the sauce had just the right balance of flavors, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. You could tell the guy behind the counter really knew his stuff—his passion for pizza was evident in every bite.

A & B Pizza is the real deal. It’s no wonder locals swear by it, and if the man behind the counter ever decides to expand or make it big, I’ll be right there with a slice in hand. If you're ever in Seaside, don’t waste your time with the overcrowded tourist traps—trust me, this spot is where the real...

Excellent pizza. Nay, motherbleep excellent pizza. I only regret I can't give 6/5 stars. Seaside is lucky.

Details:. On vacation, passing through town. Tired of seafood, off keto, looking to scratch an itch for pizza. Looking at all the local unappetizing abominations: looking at you especially Pizza Harbor. You call that pizza? Out of the mist, a beautiful pizza appeared on google maps. I ordered immediately: 1 topping, Capocollo

His dough is symphonic. There at least 3 different textures. The bottom is perfectly leopard with a solid crisp for foundation. This swiftly transitions into a pillowy, chewy layer that provides a little addictive tug to each bite. The cornicione is very airy with a very crisp crunch.

I would bet that his dough is a wet one and fermented for 2-7 days vs the typical ~8 hours due to these qualities. A lot of work is going into this. I didn't get a look at his oven but I bet it be running proper hot to impart that duality of crisp and chewy.

The acidity if the sauce is perfect; they taste like good quality tomatoes, perhaps San Marzanos. The cheese is low moist mozzarella, a staple of NY pizza. Unknown about the Capocollo but it's also delicious.

How the hell are the other pizza joints...

We’ve been eating Mikes pizza since he was at (and named) Ave Q! It’s literally the BEST pizza in the area, and there is ALOT of pizza places. The owner is the only person that works there. He works really hard and makes the crust and sauce himself. It’s not super greasy, but has just the right amount. The quality and freshness of the toppings he uses is superior to anywhere else in town.

The location is off the highway across from Safeway so it’s right in the middle of town, with a small parking lot for pick up. He’s got one or two large tables inside- but I’ve never seen anyone actually eat there as it’s the perfect place to grab your pizza and go.

The owner is also such a genuinely kind person. We got to know him from when he opened and he is such a solid guy. He was so kind to us during Covid (and still). He is VERY BUSY and can run out of dough after only a few hours of being open. His costs are super fair for the size and quality of the pizza.

I recommend this place to EVERYONE I know. We are SO lucky to have such a great pizza place in our small town! I’m about to order a pizza right after I’m done with this review! Give it a try if you haven’t!! You...

So at first we thought it was closed. The storefront was completely empty and all we could see was a piece of paper with a listing of toppings taped to the door and a lone counter inside the building. But we decided to try to go in anyway. The smell that hit us was divine. A single man covered in flour dust greeted us warmly and took our order. 15 minutes later, we were handed a pizza that took us 10 minutes to devour whole. The entire time we couldn't help exclaim "oh my god!" while tried to figure out what exactly was that incredible and unique cheese blend laying on an unbelievably fresh and perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, cradled in a crust to rival any we've ever had before. I grew up in NY and consider myself a pizza snob, this was completely different and yet stands just as tall as any pie place I've loved in the tri-state. Definitely give this curious pizza man a go if you're in the mood to be deliciously surprised!

We were looking for some quality pizza while vacationing in Seaside and as soon as I saw a photo in a review, I had a feeling we had found it. Don't let the boring name and spartan location fool you. This is top quality pizza in what I would call a New Haven (Connecticut) style. They don't have some of the toppings available for it to be classic New Haven, but the crust and cooking style is very New Haven... if you aren't familiar with the style, that char on the crust is supposed to be there and it makes the nice chewy dough have a multidimensional crispy/chewy quality that is out of this world. Our family of four, including a tween and a teen, all thought it was great. I'll go out of my way for great hole in the wall pizza joints and this one is now on my list!
