The wife wanted to enjoy a few margaritas, & some appetizers of half a plate of Texas cheese fries, I enjoyed a small caesar salad, then we had shared a plate that came with jalapeno smoked sausage, quesadillas brisket, corn on the cob & french fries, for dessert ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie hot and gooey and at the same time crispy yummy. Our server was named Clara very awesome individual she deserves a increase/raise or a promotion, Clara deserves to be recognized for all her dedication in her hoice profession and displayed her very best as our server. Clara makes it look so simple what she does for a living but we know it takes hours of commitment to become who she became in her perfecting her daily duties as a sever. My wife & I, really enjoyed her company while we enjoyed our meal. thank you Manager Juan for putting on the San Francisco Giants game for us while we were enjoying our meal. Thank you Manager Carmen for making sure our time there was enjoyable & our food was piping hot yummy, Y'all had made our evening they're very pleasant. I'd like to recognize the food runners Luis & Aveil, thank you for making sure our drinks were always full & we had plenty of napkins & any other necessities we asked for to our table in a timely matter. We came in hungry & we left very Happy knowing that our drinks, appetizers, & our main course & dessert was very delicious, job well done Chili's in Seaside Ca. We will definitely come back again for another memorable moment, especially with the service we had received be back sooner then later, Yup! Read moreBecause this is a chain restaurant, my expectations for Chili's are not super high. Still I have always considered this a good go-to place for speedy service, wide selection, and good value. I have been here twice for lunch recently, three days ago and a month or two before that. Both times the service was notably slow (about one hour for lunch) and the food was disappointing. It was not busy.
I arrived before my party (4 people total) and pre-ordered an appetizer (buffalo wings). It came 30 minutes later, well after everyone arrived, which defeated my original intention of having something for all of us to nibble on right away. Appearance-wise it looked bad, several chicken wings drenched in sauce and plopped on a white plate with one yellowish celery stick and one carrot stick. The appetizer also lacked share plates (we had to ask for them, why?). We also received two free orders of chips and salsa because I signed up for their points club thing (don't know why I got two, only ordered one). More on this later.
The entrees were also slow coming out and ho-hum in taste. I asked for malt vinegar for my fries and was told that they don't have any. I then asked for regular vinegar. Again, no vinegar in the kitchen. Really? A restaurant with no vinegar? That sounds weird, but I'm more inclined to believe the staff didn't want to make the effort. I did mention it wasn't busy, didn't I?
I don't know if this is a new thing, but all of the food now comes on metal trays and paper liners. No doubt this aids in clean-up efficiency and conserves water, but it also detracts from overall presentation and gave the impression we were dining at a higher priced cafeteria. This use of trays might explain why Chili's was reticent to include share plates with our appitizer.
Upon checkout, Chili's tasks patrons to use mini terminals located at the table. Your bill is totaled on the screen and then you have to figure out how to pay. It's not intuitive. However, it is sneaky. Those free chips and salsa were charged to our bill. When we asked our server, he said we had to manually apply the credit using the mini terminal. Why? My server knew I was applying my free credit. Why not automatically take it off the bill?

Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at Chili’s. We came with our family, including an infant, and from the very beginning, the service was terrible. We were told we would need to wait 5-10 minutes for a table, but in reality, we waited for almost an hour.
When the hostess finally seated us at two separate tables—since we had already been waiting so long—the manager approached us and, rather than accommodating the situation, rudely told us to leave the tables and go back to the entrance to wait for another table. He stated that we were "confusing his staff," even though we had simply followed the hostess’s instructions. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making an already frustrating situation even worse.
Once we placed our order, the experience continued to decline. The staff was visibly discussing us among themselves, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When we asked questions or tried to clarify something about our order, they responded with eye-rolls, head shakes, and clear signs of annoyance. Server started asking inappropriate questions about our accent and where exactly we were from. As soon as we answered, she immediately ran to her colleagues to share what we said. It was absolutely clear that they were discussing us, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome!
Despite the fact that we waited for an hour, we were not offered any kind of compensation or gesture of goodwill. There was no apology, no complimentary drink or appetizer—nothing at all to acknowledge the inconvenience we experienced. It felt as though the staff simply didn’t care about our experience.
Overall, both the manager and staff behaved unprofessionally, and we felt disrespected throughout our visit. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had, and we do not plan...
