Crazy waiting time for an order. Rude staff. 👎
################## Update 2023-09-30 ##################
Thank you to the representative of "Domani Pizzeria and Restaurant" for a very prompt and informative response to my review. I'm pleased to read that you care about the quality and taste of the dishes, which were freshly prepared with special attention.
From your response, I can draw one conclusion: you do not plan to make any changes in the interaction with delivery service representatives.
Now, let's delve into the situation that occurred, and I'll offer my recommendations since you don't intend to make any changes.
I placed an order through the UberEats app and traveled to your establishment for about 10 minutes. I asked your staff about the estimated wait time for my order and received a clear answer: the order would be ready in 2-5 minutes. However, I ended up waiting for 7-10 minutes.
When I inquired about the order's status again, I received an irritated response, with no willingness to help me estimate the waiting time. This put me in a very awkward position: I had already been waiting for over 10 minutes and had no idea how much longer I would have to wait. I want to emphasize that time is money. If you don't value the time of your couriers and only prioritize your delicious food, please don't be surprised by negative ratings.
Now, to answer your question:
Why did I give you a one-star rating?
The answer is simple: your staff misled me. Instead of the promised 2-5 minutes of waiting, I waited for 7-10 minutes. When I inquired about my order, your staff responded irritably, refusing to assist me in estimating the wait time. This placed me in a very frustrating situation: I had already been waiting for more than 10 minutes and had no idea how much longer I had to wait. I want to underscore that time equals money. If you don't value the time of your couriers and only prioritize your delicious food, please don't be surprised by poor ratings.
Now, onto your question:
What can be done to improve our interaction and eliminate misunderstandings?
The answer is straightforward: tell the truth! If your staff had not deceived me and had honestly informed me that the order would take 10-15 minutes, I would have canceled the order and continued to provide high-quality food delivery services without any issues.
I genuinely hope for your professionalism in organizing business processes and that you can instruct your staff about the importance of honesty in dealing with your delivery partners.
Wishing you all the best, as we work together to make our...
Read moreMy absolute compliments to the chef. I came to this place on a whim and ordered the pork tenderloin since I was intimidated by the price point and atmosphere of neighboring Betty’s. Seeming like a pizza joint by the looks of the exterior sign, I’ll admit I had metered expectations about the entrees. Man did they blow them out of the water! Everything on my plate was cooked to perfection and the flavors were interesting. For the price, I’d say I absolutely got more than what I paid for in terms of quality and quantity.
My only critique would be of the atmosphere. Royalty-free generic beats play over the loudspeaker, and the TV was only playing miscellaneous football highlights (without closed captioning). I would recommend another TV or two, and a different selection of music and channels for those who dine in. Other than that, a lovely interior feels like home.
Oh, and of course, my waitress was great!
I highly recommend stopping in after a visit...
Read moreThought we'd try this place since we live nearby but never went earlier since it was always empty - now we know why!
Server was super nice, house wine was good, and the food came quickly (to be fair we were the only ones there).
The food however was solidly mediocre. I've never had a carbonara before without egg or pepper (?!) but instead with tomatoes, fat slices of onion, alfredo sauce, and an entire Finnish forest's worth of mushrooms. So much stuff, and yet so little seasoning that it tasted exactly like any alfredo pasta dish would anywhere else.
That's not to say it was bad, it just wasn't special (or by definition even a carbonara). I'm sure for some people americanized Italian is a comfort food, à la Olive Garden, but its just not for me.
What actually was inexcusable were the minced garlic landmines spread around inside the calzone. Hits you like a truck.
All in all, standard Americana Italian but just.... Not as good as...
