Please add a section to your “Terms and conditions” stating that the scheduled time of the appointment start is tentative and that we, the clients, are expected to agree to push back the start of the appointment on a very short notice.

My 4 hour appointment was scheduled for 1:30 today, and I received a text from a stylist at 12:35 saying that the appointment start has been shifted to 2:30. Since I’m already driving to the appointment, I do my best to text the stylist back while driving that I can’t make this time.

I am aware that a hair bleach appointment can run longer. I thought that my 4 hour window for my shoulder length already half bleached hair would have been more than enough to achieve the results I would be satisfied with.

I was not aware that the salon expected me to be able to push back my appointment time an hour later on such a short notice.

The terms said “plan accordingly” and I did - I thought that if within 4 hours my hair is not light enough, I will just come back in a few months for a follow-up appointment, not a big deal.

I am upset that I was added to a “no show list” even though I was very much on the way to my scheduled time of the appointment. I am upset that the artist blamed me for not agreeing to push back the appointment start on a short notice, is it really my fault?

I started going to Blonde & Gold Salon in April 2023 after seeing excellent reviews online and that their services were within my price range. And I am so happy to have found them! Carolina in particular is such a careful and attentive hairstylist.
