That chub dude wearing a gray hat and hoodie gives off such a bad and racist vibe. We came in and said hello politely, no greeting back, he just stared at us looking very annoyed. We ordered and got our beer and he didn’t say a single word through the whole interaction. We thought he might just have a bad day and sat down. Interestingly, he greeted every other group that came in after us, had some small talks, and at least thanked them after they paid. When it was 15 minutes before closing time, that dude said harshly that "we are closing" and told us to leave, but he said "sorry guys but we are ready to close" when two white guys came in right after. I guess it's not hard for him to say hello, thank you, and sorry or just be a decent human being in general. I'm not one to bring race into conversations, but I can't help but wonder if we were treated differently because we're Asian, especially considering every other group here is white. The lack of racial diversity among the customers is also quite noticeable. So one advice for the owner, just put a sign in front saying no people of color allowed to save everyone the trouble. There are tons of breweries around, no one has...
Read moreFood and drinks are mid, not bad but also not really worth the exorbitant price. The rice lager is the best thing there.
Dont open a tab here unless you want them putting a hold on funds in your account for up to a week after the fact.
Just go to Baranof across the street. Better drinks, pool, karaoke and they dont hold onto your money for unreasonable periods of time during the holidays.
In response to the bars reply: No, the bank isn't responsible for releasing the pre authorization, they were the first people I called. They said it is the vendors responsibility. And again, no this isn't "pretty standard." Ive been going to bars for years thank you and this is the first time any of them have put a long term hold on funds in my account. I probably will not be back after this encounter, my money is valuable to me and it's shocking to me that this is your attitude about...
Read moreStopped by this amazing brewery in Greenwood on a busy Friday. Thankfully we had a reservation for our large group that evening. They have a solid beer collection and not to mention their food is top notch too. I tried their huckster, urban hike beers and for food had the pork dumplings (absolutely amazing though a tad spicy just the way I love it) and their Ode to Banh Mi hot dogs (tasty). All of us enjoyed our beers as well some were ipa fans and some were lager fans but everyone was happy with their selection. They have a huge indoor seating area with a projector too and have a few spots outside.
Parking can be a pain but there is a paid lot in the back side of this brewery so thats convenient. All in all this place has great beers, great dumplings, good hot dogs & great service! Highly recommend if...
