I'll tell you what. I've been venturing into this metropolis a lot lately, and my travels being me to the 8500 Block of Greenwood approximately 1.5 times per week. I don't drink beer, (gluten,) but Flying Bike has a TON of gluten-free alternatives. If you get here soon enough, try the Channel Marker Habanero Lime Cider. It's AMAZING! Other than that, the Taproom attendant/Beertender... whatever they're called now, Christian is super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place as a great pit stop! If you're here on a weekend in the evening, after you stop here, go to the Shanghai Room a few doors down for some comedy.

A perfect super casual date night spot with games on the shelves! Order from @green_tree_restaurant Vietnamese next door first then order your beer. Super friendly and if you get pho or any other soup, you get real dishes rather than takeout containers from next door. Just a great find bc the suggested takeout next door is excellent for “bar food” and the brewery’s atmosphere is just chill.

Okay. Let me tell you straight. For a co-op brewery, supporting home brewing and beerducation, beervana, and beermollierleetness (aka ciceroneleetness), Flying Bike beats all-comers. A not-to-be-disappointed-visit unless you're a constricted Luddite. Support your local!! (FBike here, Skookum up north, and friggin' GYA to Portland aka Nirvana when contemplating a trip to The South) .

Consistently has some of the best beers in the area (in an area of really fantastic beers), which is probably in part due to the co-op aspect of the place - you get the very best of multiple brewers. This also means their range is excellent - they usually have solid representations of most styles of beer. They also have a great ethos and super chill vibe which makes it a great place to hang out and play games or chat with friends. They encourage outside food, to the point they have pretty decent metal utensils on hand if you forget some. Great place if you want to get takeout and just have dinner there for the excellent drinks.

In terms of negatives, the place ends up swamped with children at times, and can get kind of smelly and muggy. It's a brewery in an ancient building they don't own, so I totally get there's only so much you can do to contain it, but it is still a negative. But that's it, really - I strongly...

Flying Bike is the first brewer I went to when I moved into the neighborhood in 2019 and I've loved it ever since. It's a nice community gathering spot serving delicious beer, some of which are designed and brewed by community members. The brewery is a coop, providing opportunities for members to participate in brewing activities as well as broader community events, but anyone can come enjoy the tasty treats and food from nearby restaurants, which you are welcome to eat on site. It's a great vibe and location filled with cool people and an ever expanding menu of beverages, including beer, slushies, and a great assortment of NA beverages....

I Have been to this brewery several times and the beer has been okay. I went this weekend on a nice summer day, and thought I would try their watermelon slush drink that was on special. To say that the beverage was pure sugar would be an under statement. It was a sugar coma waiting to happen. I have never wanted to return a drink before, but I mustered up the courage to ask the bartender if I could please exchange it for anything else, as the slush was undrinkable. She was not very friendly, and needless to say, I was unable to exchange it for an alternative. It is my fault for ordering their slush, but the customer service was not...
