Received unfair treatment and rude attitude from the owner of this restaurant. Order placed one hour ago and got to the reataurant for pickup. I was rudely told to step aside and wait for another half an hour because the owner did not check the online ordering system, so they had not even started preparing my food. I sat down on a chair and then was again, rudely demanded to stand up, step aside and wait. I did not get a single apology or see any apologetic expression on their face. At this point a seat was the least they could offer, but no, I was not allowed to sit. I was never treated like a customer here, rather as a homeless person begging for free food. Very unacceptable and poor behavior from their part. Not to mention their poor English. I had to repeat each sentence three times for them to understand my intentions. The restaurant was not busy and was not even full. I was getting penalized for their own negligence and ignorance. If you're short-staffed, or simply not intellectually able to check the online ordering system, I would suggest closing the online platforms, instead of treating people like second-class citizens just because they place order online. I ended up cancelling my order because I feel like at this point they were just going to spit in my food judging from the hostility they showed towards me. I would not recommend this place to anyone that is looking to be served with basic politeness...
Read moreCame here based on all the good reviews but had a totally different experience. The place was empty downstairs (the nice upstairs featured in all the photos was closed) except for one guy eating and watching his phone on loud without earbuds in the corner. Horrible fluorescent lighting. No one greeted us when we came in, we just found a seat and the table was dirty. Waited a long time (we should have got up and left at that point) and then a woman waited on us. There are QR codes on the walls but when I entered my whole order it didn’t go through, because the table before us had not been checked out. So I had to verbally give my order and there was a language barrier. We did get our food very slowly and several items we ordered were missing, but at that point after having a couple of items we were just ready to go, as there was nothing about the atmosphere that would make you want to stay and the food was forgettable. Also I could hear coughing in the back, but none of the staff wore masks. Take my advice, if you wander in like I did based on the good reviews and you are greeted with an empty dining room and fluorescent lights, just turn around and walk out. I will say the congee was pretty good. But not worth coming back for with all the other weirdness. Oh, also the menu says Harmony Teamed not Harmony Palace, so it’s possible there are different owners who changed some things? All in all, a very...
Read moreThis lady in the red brought out our food at different times I asked her if she could reheat the chicken feet and she started yelling at my and slamming the plates and was extremely rude. When she came back out she told me with attitude it’s the fan and all my food would be cold eventually. I wanted to leave but I would be late for work if I had gone anywhere else. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time eating. I was scared to ask for anything else. I will never come here again. I literally cried in the restaurant while she just sat there and laughed. It was so uncalled for I was humiliated. After I payed she took money from my change for her tip and would not give it back. there is no signs anywhere posted that there’s an automatic gratuity charge. And it was clearly an option for the tip on the receipt (there were different tip amounts with check boxes next to them) Even if I was able to eat comfortably, the food wasn’t even enjoyable. It was actually quite disgusting. But I cannot complain about that because the prices are cheap. I should have...
