During our stay at the Marriott Seattle, we were thrilled to find that Hook and Plow is conveniently attached to the hotel, perfect for a hearty breakfast before heading to the port for our cruise.
The selection was fantastic. We enjoyed fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, juicy breakfast sausages, and tender shredded chicken. There were golden breakfast potatoes with a light crunch, perfectly browned French toast (with warm syrup and butter balls ready to melt on top), and even a flavourful egg white frittata packed with veggies. The buffet also offered a fresh fruit station with berries and pineapple, plus plenty of toppings like shredded cheese, green onions, and whipped butter for customizing our plates. Everything was hot, fresh, and beautifully presented.
What really made the meal unforgettable was the service. Our server Angelo deserves a huge shout-out, he was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect. From coffee refills to checking that we had everything we needed, Angelo went above and beyond and made us feel like valued guests.
If you’re staying at the Marriott or simply looking for a delicious breakfast spot near the Seattle waterfront, Hook and Plow is a must. Great food, top notch service, and the convenience of being right inside the hotel earn it a solid five...
Read moreI had breakfast here twice during my stay. The first time I ordered off the menu, and the second time, I enjoyed the buffet. Both would be good choices, in my opinion. Both times, the staff were all friendly, accommodating, and professional. The menu includes a non-pork sausage option and fresh fruit replacements as well. Everyone I encountered during both visits was sincere and easy to converse with as a single diner. The only negative is that their systems and procedures are a bit broken. The first day, I was put on the wait list (about 15 minutes both times) electronically and then was able to go still somewhere not so congested and waut fir a text notification. The second it was a paper list, which made me feel unsure as we all stood or sat in the hallway waiting for our names to be called. but it turned out fine When I had finished my meal, I got up to get a piece of fresh fruit from the buffet to take with me and was planning to sit and finish my coffee before departing. However, a matrodee cleared my table. My waitress was not far behind when I returned to my table so I could pay and be on my may. Overall, the restaurant was very enjoyable for breakfast, and I would definitely return if I am ever back...
Read moreDo not come for dinner. We're on a 6 day vacation trip here in Seattle and staying at the Marriott. Finally decided to get dinner here at the hotel restaurant. It has been the most expensive and worst meal we have had in 6 days!
I ordered the papparedelle with alfredo sauce and added shrimp. The pasta itself was $22 and the add shrimp was an extra $18! Fine, I saw the additional price so I assumed it was going to be large flavorful grilled shrimps on top of this pasta; as it should be for that price. They brought out pasta with itty bitty tiny Bay shrimps just tossed into the sauce. The Alfredo sauce was bland and dry and there was maybe 10-12 of the tiny Bay shrimps for $18! The lasagna was just okay.
We also ordered dessert which took forever to come out. The creme brulee was described as coming with strawberry preserve but really just came with two soft strawberry slices that I could not eat.
The server was nice and he seemed to have the whole restaurant to himself. He did a good job, not his fault the food was poor.
Overall do not...
