This is the first place in Seattle where I couldn't finish the food. The clay pot with cured meat had very little meat and the Chinese sausage tasted weird. Contrary to some pictures I saw here and on the menu. And as a sort of claypot connoisseur, it was frustratingly difficult to scrap the charred rice. Other places the char comes off much easier.
The wonton noodle was worse. The egg noodle were strangely textured and chewy(and I love al dente egg noodles!) the tendon and wonton both tasted a bit off, like it wasnt fresh. The broth too gave the same vibes, and tasted like it wasnt made from real broth. I had to force myself to eat this to not waste the $40 I spent here.
Went on a weekend lunch and it was empty, mostly takeouts from non Chinese, that should've been my warning. I've had these dishes hundreds of time in many places and so I know what is quality. This is honestly bad even for Seattle. Go eat at the food court in Uwajimaya, their $12 combo is much better.
Seemed like a family operation so I really wanted to support them. But I cant ignore how bad this food was. Atmosphere and service were not ideal either but I can overlook it for good food. This...
Read moreIf you are in a reasonable driving distance to Jufeng Noodle House, you should absolutely give it a try, honestly very excited to go back soon and try something new. We tried Wontons in a peanut sauce as an appetizer and it was a delicious start! We got Beef Brisket Lo Mein, Spicy Shrimp, and Sesame Chicken. I cant choose which was my favorite but my wife loved the Sesame Chicken. Next time i will order the spicy shrimp because the shrimp sit on a bed of diced chili peppers and onions that i can add to my other dishes. She ordered Beef Brisket with Dumpling Noodle Soup. Our friend had the Beef and Green beans. I honestly cant say one bad thing about the food. It was fantastic. More pros: Ton of parking, no wait time, people came and went while we were there and alot got to-go so it was never too crowded. Our server was really patient with us while we asked questions and came back with a printout of our order to make sure it was correct. Our tea pot was never empty and she was really nice and attentive, never had to ask. Amazing Chinese food at an amazing price and service. Must go, this...
Read more2/10 - service is okay but the food was terrible. Ordered the kungpao chicken and the beef udon noodles. Kungpao chicken wasn't terrible, but it tasted more like chicken stir fry than kungpao. Furthermore, they were stingy with the chicken, 95% of the dish was vegetables. The udon noodles were just straight up bad. Did I order udon noodles with beef or black pepper with a side of noodles? I like extra seasoning on my food but it was coated entirely in black pepper and you could not taste anything else. Which is a shame since the udon noodles were cooked well, once you scraped off the black pepper. Beef was bland though, even with the ungodly amount of seasoning. Portions were big but when the food is this bad, that doesn't matter. Definitely feels like a waste of $50 for...
