Stopped here while in town for business, and looking forward to the next time I get to eat it. This is a “hole in the wall” type of place, which is exactly what I was looking for. The person taking orders at the register gave me their recommendation of hot & spicy chicken (I was waffling between that and teriyaki); couldn’t have been any happier with the results. Food was brought to my seat (figured it would be me going and getting it, so that was a pleasant surprise!). Serving size was big, and the vegetables included a lot of fresh mushrooms (I don’t like mushrooms, but for someone that does, it would be a nice change from canned). The chicken and the eggrolls I ordered were piping hot, to the point I had to let the latter cool off before taking another bite. Everything tasted really good, with a nice amount of spice, sweet, and savory, as well as good texture (veggies crisp-tender, etc). There are a lot of different options outside of teriyaki to choose from (ramen, etc), so I’d recommend taking a look prior to walking in and taking a lot of time figuring out what sounds best. I left full and happy which, in general, is my main goal when I go...

When I worked nearby, me and coworkers would frequent A LOT!! Today was my first visit back in a while due to job changes, and I still like their food very much! I got the spicy katsu chicken! The spice is just right (for me) and their salad that comes with the food is muuuch better than other teriyaki places I frequent. Something about the dressing and quality of their veggies! The dressing is good and also great to add to spicy katsu (sometimes i get spicy beef) to maybe tone it down if too much.

-The staff are friendly and do their best to get your order even when busy! But in my opinion, I'm ok waiting few extra mins for their good quality food that i would enjoy.

-Atmosphere is what it is. They do keepnit clean but it can be small/crowded for dine-in options. Making the best of what they got so I cant complain.

-additional: downside is they closed on Sundays lolol it was one of the weekends we worked and when we wanted teriyaki cravings, we couldnt. Understandable, everyone needs time off to...

My wife and I ordered from this restaurant 4 afternoons in a row because it was good. However, the last time we went, they forgot to put any teriyaki sauce in our to go order. After paying for a ride back to our hotel and seeing no teriyaki sauce in our bag, I called them. Unfortunately, the lady who answered couldn't understand English, so I just hung up and gave up. There's no way I'm going to pay for a UBER ride from our hotel to the restaurant and back for some teriyaki sauce that I already paid for. They really need to have someone answering the phone who can understand English when a customer calls that doesn't get what they paid for. After spending over $200.00 ordering from them in just the last few days, I can state that they won't get anymore business from me. It's sad when a business (especially a restaurant) can't even give their customers what they paid for. Maybe their name should just be Okinawa! I'm very...

Okinawa is new to me somehow despite working within a few blocks for 4 years now, but a treat on occasion. The teriyaki is respectable and they serve up these dishes with a machine like efficiency and friendly but brisk service. They do the basics right, which is what you hope for in a teriyaki joint. I want some char on the chicken and the sauce not overly sweet and starved, and theirs hits the spot. These are downtown teriyaki prices and tip expectations, so it’s $22 per person total for lunch which is crazy but hey I’m happy to support local when I can afford it. Chicken and gyoza combo best bang for my buck so far.

Best Teriyaki in Seattle. The prices are crazy good and from a different time. $12 for a huge portion of chick teriyaki, rice, and salad. Their dressing is amazing. So many other menu items too. This place is the do not miss spot in Washington state. Been one of my fave spots for 20 years. Also location is stellar, in the city but there's always some parking on the street, lot across the street, or garages all around as long as it's not game day 😉
