I give this establishment 2 stars because the salmon was very good. Delicious in fact.

The service was not very good. I will say the young man, Nate, (at least that is what we were told) was a bit busy so I can understand. However, we didn't get a water refill until everyone was finished with their meal. My wife got her meal last, which was about 7 minutes after everyone began eating. My mother received cold fries. She asked for vegetables to replace the fries and our waiter said he could bring new fries. Okay, no problem. Our fries didn't arrive until we asked about them when everyone had finished their meals. We watched him refill waters around us. Again, I understand being busy, but being in the industry, if you check on one table, it is good practice to check on them all.

We waited quite some time for the bill. We were given a bill and had been over charged for a beer which we brought to his attention. He seemed argumentative about this beer but took the check and brought back cash for the mistake which we thought was strange. Why couldn't he have taken it off the check?

We continue to wait for our waiter to cash us out. We had to ask the other waitress if she could. She grabs our waiter and he says he'll have to rerun the card. That's new to us since we hadn't cashed out in the first place. It made sense why he gave us cash back instead of taking the beer off the ticket.

We noticed a help wanted sign as we left. It certainly seems they need some good staff which is a shame because the food and view are good. The prices were a bit high but I feel they could be warranted if the service had been better.

Attached is a windowseat view. Again, very nice. Our service really diminished...

The view of the Sound and the adorable location will bring us back here for a drink occasionally, not the service we received. Our initial male server was very nice, looked into whether the burger we ordered was vegan, and even had the foresight to know we wouldn’t want cheese on our burger and suggest to have it remove before we had the chance to mention it. I am always very polite about my dietary requests and appreciate wholeheartedly when my server understands my request and isn’t belittling about it, as for some odd reason some people don’t respond well to the word “vegan”. Unfortunately our burgers came out with mayonnaise on them and, while I was away from the table, my fiancé ate his burger without hesitation because we had previously clarified our request for a vegan burger so he assumed that it was vegan mayo. I was a bit more skeptical and asked the female server who had taken over our table and was met with the aforementioned snobby attitude regarding the request for a vegan burger. Snappily, “It didn’t say ‘vegan’, it just said ‘no cheese’”. (Did she think we wrote the ticket for the kitchen? She wasn’t present for the conversation with the previous server so she had no reason to be accusatory.) She hastily took away my plate and, at my request, packaged the new burger to go. Fast forward an hour later and I am home, open my to-go burger...and it was made with mayonnaise again. :/ So, minus one star for the unnecessary rudeness and minus one star for the lack of attention to detail following the first mistake that we were extremely forgiving about, considering the blatant disrespect to a person’s dietary...

Basically a New York diner with a relatively short list menu, serving breakfast all day with a gorgeous view of Elliott Bay. The cafe is easily missed if you're not looking for it, because it's not visible from the main cobblestone drive. Although it's located in close proximity to the famous fish throwing seafood market, you have to go in a little towards the "Sound", pass several gift vendors to find the entrance on the right. Considering Bidenflation, menu prices are still relatively affordable in the very expensive Emerald City and Pike Place Market tourist stop. Beware that Seattle has one of the highest, if not the highest sales tax rate in 🇺🇸. Credit card & cash accepted. Every table inside has a picturesque Puget Sound view. Unfortunately, there was a thick haze obstructing the waterview due to the current wild fire smoke. The food was very good. Nothing was salty, greasy or overly saucy. Clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl was tasty but not salty. Ravioli with mushrooms was flavorful and a generous portion. Buttermilk pancakes were fluffy & spongy just the way I like 'em. Loco moko was flavorful & filling. View platter was perfectly prepared. Everything tasted delicious, generous portions, friendly & prompt service, good selection for a modest size menu. Only minor complaint was that the coffee was subpar, especially for Seattle. Highly recommended to tourists & locals alike. Support your local small businesses &...
