Do not stay here. Regret everything about this place. It is a hotel that has it's location as the main selling point but the lack of customer service and amenities will leave you wishing you booked elsewhere.

There is only one Valet guy who is never at their stand. I dont think this hotel should offer Valet ($49 overnight parking FYI) 2 massive buses were honking at us when we pulled up to valet. 10 minutes waiting and nothing. I hop out & quickly unload my suitcase because I need to go in there and talk to someone. My husband is almost hit by 3 buses and decides it Is too dangerous & has to drive off. Completely Unacceptable! It took 15 minutes for him to maneuver around traffic to get back.

In the meantime, I walk in and do not know where to check in because there isn't an employee in sight! I stand there for a few minutes confused and irritated. See a restaurant to my left, wave down a waitress & gesture that no one is there. A minute later, a guy walks in and I tell him about the valet mess up front! He gets another gentleman, named Gabriel who checks me in and offers me a Lemon Vodka Shot. Confused out of my mind at this point and offended now. Am told valet was busy.

The vodka lemon shot is a tactless welcome. First off, I cannot drink alcohol because of my medical condition, so you might want to ask your guests ahead of time if they can drink before holding a shot in your hand. Secondly, an apology would have been great or an offer to have someone help me with my suitcase. Good service means more than a shot! I'm not at a pool party in Vegas. And how do you determine who gets a shot? Will you offer that to the older/elderly people, whom by their facial expressions, regrettably booked here too? A few guests in the elevator asked us if we were displeased with this hotel too and wow, we all shared our opinions that ended with one conclusion; we regret being here at this hotel.

Enter the room that has 2 hangers, No iron, no ironing board, No suitcase stand, No coffee machine and zero water bottles. I wanted to find another hotel but we booked through a third party. I didnt want to throw money away like that. So I try to ask for the basics. A man brings an iron and ironing board to my room. I ask him for a suitcase stand, and he says, "yeah we dont have those. We used to but we dont anymore. I dont know why." I guess I'm supposed to lie my suitcase on the floor, bend and hurt my back at my inconvenience and pain. I'm livid. My husband is still driving around to get back to the hotel. I go online, click on their site and leave a voicemail for their Public Relations person Jolene because I needed some management in here! She never calls back but it doesn't matter.

My husband finally arrives and asks for a manager. He gets the Front Desk Manager, and I tell Natalie of my entire experience. She is a professional pleasant young lady that did all that she can to help out. Brings not one, but two suitcase racks (even though I was told they didnt have any prior, maybe the guy was lazy idk) more hangers, and then she offers us a bigger room with a terrace. Very nice of her, and She is the only reason why I decided to try and make the best of it. But even that upgrade and her courtesy didnt make up for all this hotel lacks.

They use large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion in every room. For sanitary reasons this is not okay. There are many places we have stayed at, that have dispenser machines of shampoo/conditioner, soap and lotion, for the most part, guests cannot open those dispensers so it's sanitary in comparison to these large bottles that anyone before you, can open and add whatever they want to it or worse. The wall mounted dispensaries would be better suited to Keep it sanitized for paying guests. We avoided using it altogether.

Checking out: no valet again. Told he was busy. Gabriel saw us waiting and took my husband to the parking lot. Guests outside saw us waiting and a lady was worried they wont get their own rental on time when they fly out Monday after seeing what was going on...

A solid 4-star hotel.

Pros: Literally, on the Market. You're steps away from all the touristy destinations: good food, art museum, the bay, etc.

Doorman. Downtown Seattle has a significant homeless population. I don't blame the city, and it's not necessarily a con: gentrification and the opioid crisis are real. That said, it's nice that the hotel pays for an around-the-clock doorman and lock the doors after 8pm. Feels safe.

The hotel gives you a discount on garage parking right around the corner. If you've rented a car this is a must.

Complimentary breakfast every day. Bakery spread, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee galore. I'm not sure what some reviews are talking about when they say breakfast ran out. We departed between 7am-10am every day and there was always food available.

Nice rooms, little to no noise from the hall the streets.

Cons: The front desk seems...understaffed and disorganized. When we arrived, there was only one person manning the desk and we stood and waited to check-in for five minutes while he wrapped up a phone call and managed the back room. He apologized for the delay. We 100% understand it's not his fault. However, it'd be nice for the hotel owners to ensure two people are stationed at the front. We were coming off 10-hours of travel and a missed connection and were looking forward to a seamless check-in so we could crash.

We also had an issue trying to place a to-go/room service order from the hotel restaurant. We ordered hours before the restaurant closed and were assured we could find the food with the front desk when we got back to the hotel. When we approached the woman behind the desk, we were told the food wasn't ready. We waited for nearly an hour, checking back at 30-minute intervals. We were brushed off each time. By the time the manager actually got back to us, the restaurant was closing. Turns out, the food had been sitting behind the desk the entire time and had gone completely cold. I was comp'd for the meal, but after a day out, no dinner, and being brusquely brushed off for checking on the status of my meal, eating a stone cold burger and fries -- even though it was free -- sucked.

I'd love to see upper level management reorganize and work out some of these issues.

No room service unless you request every day. Lots of hotels are doing this now under the heading "Covid precautions." That'd make sense if the entire hotel actually had a masking policy, but they don't. The hotel should make this available again, especially for guests staying longer...

We had a solid “C” of a stay at state. Here are some things to know before and when you arrive and what would have made our stay better.

Firstly, there is major construction on 2nd street as of April 30 2023 - it shuts down the entire street at times - we were awoken at 8 am on a SATURDAY by JACKHAMMERING. Yup straight up breaking into the road 20 ft from our room - it shook our windows and flooring and was deafening. We left promptly to venture outside after that and away from the property. We assumed the hotel didn’t know that there is construction going on but our Uber driver said it’s been going on for months. So we were just placed in a room against the specific street that had major construction going on and we were pretty disappointed.

Checking in: go to the hotel BEFORE you park. The road was closed when we arrived. You should try to pull up in front of the hotel, unload and check in. We couldn’t do this because of the closure and carrying our luggage a block was a super pain. We also could not get out of the parking garage, even though we had paid through the hotels link for discounted parking. The man at the parking garage wanted us to pay again even though we had already paid $27.50 per day. And no it is not the parking garage literally directly in front of the hotel is down about a block and a half, while it is a fine location we had the most difficult time getting out of the garage by paying with the link provided - wish we would have just paid the extra $4 a day and paid directly to the garage. The hassle of getting out of the garage was more of an inconvenience than the $8 we saved.

5 stars for location - is is incredible. Two seconds from target, one minute from coffee in any direction and pikes place.

4 stars for the room. It was quite small but sufficient for two people and a small dog. It was very clean - it is not sound proof - you will absolutely hear street noise and hallway noise. The bed was comfortable - no complaints there, water pressure is a little low but plenty of hot water.

Probably about 3 stars for the hotel staff, they were mostly nice - but completely unhelpful by any means of the word. Checked us in and offered literally nothing else.

We’d stay here again if the construction was over because it was a solid stay. Definitely felt deceived by the hotel by not relaying the info about the construction on their website or during booking - it was incredibly noisy and inconvenient and nearly...
