This was hands down the most unpleasant interaction I’ve had with a manager at any stay. The manager, identifiable by her pink hair, was shockingly rude and dismissive. Not just to guests, but it seemed, unfortunately, to her own team as well. One staff member was visibly shaking when she came to inform us that checkout was at 11am, despite my pre-approved late checkout request. I calmly showed her the confirmation in the app, and she asked me to speak directly with her manager. When I went downstairs, I was met with immediate hostility. Without so much as a greeting, the manager said flatly, “Checkout was at 11am. You’re going to be charged $35.” I showed her the confirmed 2pm checkout on my app. Her response? Still no apology or ownership of their disorganization. Just a repeated insistence on the fee, as though I had done something wrong. I followed all the rules, confirmed my request in advance, and even left the space tidy to make things easier for the cleaning staff. (Photos attached.) As for the room itself, it was mediocre at best. The bed was okay, but cleanliness was clearly not a priority. The bathroom bottles were grimy, the tub had stains, and the air conditioner looked like it was melting. The “nice view” listed on Airbnb was completely obscured by bird droppings on the window. The only positive about this stay was the location. And one final note about the manager: when I was leaving with three large suitcases and struggling to maneuver through their manual doors, she simply watched me without offering any assistance. Not even a goodbye or thank you. This manager’s behavior was not only unprofessional but also unsettling. Her poor attitude and lack of customer service have left a lasting negative impression. I truly feel bad for the staff working under her. I would not recommend this Airbnb/hotel to anyone.

Wow this place is super nice. I also like that is was a deal compared to the hotel next door. We do not need all the extra amenities like bar or restaurant inside. We had little issues with the room. It was clean, nice, and had a home like feel. I found it a little strange there are wires out of the wall. However they are covered. This comes with the hotel being built in 1906. Because of this I feel that is the charm of this place. We came when it was cooler so the ability of not controlling the ac did not affect us (can control the heat as there is a space heater). I liked being able to open the windows however I wish there were screens to keep bugs out. Bathroom door handle was a little lose and a light was out. But again not a big deal. Front desk was ready to send someone up. I said it was not necessary and just letting them know for the next guest. Both the morning and night person were incredibly kind and I chatted with both or they let you be if you wish. Even spoke to the housekeeper and the construction person working on something in the basement. I was allowed to check in early with no fee at 130 pm. Which was super nice and greatly appreciated (Never expect this however the surprise and delight was nice). You can not beat the location though. I also suggest checking out Robot vs. Sloth shop next door. Local artist and very cute. Honestly the main reason I choose this place was due to the Biscuit B!țćh a block away. Seattle fog is my recomended drink. Almost a perfect score for me this is high praise. If you want chill and low key this is the place as the kitchen is nice to have.

We stayed one night at Reside Seattle Downtown, and this is definitely not your typical Wyndham property. The hotel is in a historic building, and while the rooms have been updated, the experience was a mix of pros and cons. The room came with a small kitchen, which was very convenient, and both the kitchen and bathroom were clean. However, the floors had white dust and specks, like they hadn’t been wiped down properly. The option to pre-check in and expedite the process was helpful, but unfortunately, the code provided in the email didn’t work and had to be reset at the front desk. The front desk service wasn’t great — the receptionist seemed unwelcoming, bored, and not particularly interested in helping, which set a disappointing tone. When we got to the room, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, like an ashtray. We opened the windows for fresh air and had to leave them open the entire stay. The location is excellent, just steps away from Pike Place Market and downtown attractions. But the trade-off is that with the windows open, it gets very loud at night, making it hard to sleep. Another downside: there is no on-site parking, so you’ll need to make your own arrangements elsewhere. Overall, Reside Seattle Downtown offers a convenient location and updated rooms with a handy kitchen, but the smoke smell, street noise, and lackluster service kept it from being a truly enjoyable stay.

Well Jim Bitzer, you are clearly not sharing the feedback you are receiving from multiple guests in any way that is making a difference. To be fair, the staff have been polite during our stay, but the “hotel” is still wanting in many significant ways. The internet is slow to allow access despite it being an open and unsecure network potentially placing a less savvy person at risk of their data being snooped. It sure looks like a certificate is being suggested to be downloaded which seems dodgy. It is slow to connect making its use very frustrating. The rooms are not cleaned properly. We found some of our bedding to be stained (we had to request new bedding) and a significant amount of dirt and debris on the floor, the bathroom smells faintly of urine and the floor in there looks to be sorely needing a good mopping. There is no mattress protector on one bed and previous guests’ hair was stuck to the mattress. We requested and paid $75 for an early check in and upon arrival had to wait several minutes for our room to be “inspected”. Noting the stained bedding mentioned above, we have honest concerns the room was not ready and that it was not cleaned or bedding changed from the previous guests. We would have much preferred to be told it was unavailable and that out payment would not be needed. There is no ironing board for the iron. As mentioned, one bed did not have a mattress protector and there is significant build up of debris and hair from previous guests stuck to the mattress. I don’t understand why the TV remotes are both covered in vacuum shrunk plastic, am I supposed to open them or is this to keep them clean? The ammenties advertised don’t seem to exists, business centre? I overheard a guest being told to find a coffee shop when requesting the ‘business centre’. The beds creak when you’re in them and sag tremendously. The friendly staff and close proximation to Pikes Market are good points in what was otherwise a disappointing experience that would lead me to recommend guests stay anywhere else where you may have greater confidence that more attention to detail is being undertaken by the host. Not...

Although the location of this hotel is great I stayed for two nights just a few days ago and found it to be ever so disappointing. Especially for the $$ it cost per night with the US$ exchange not the best. I arrived after 24 hours of travelling and just wanted a nice warm shower and get to bed. First of all, no handwash, the bottle was empty. Then go to have a shower and the bottle of body wash (no soap anywhere) bottle was also empty and looked so yuck with brown soap scum all around the neck of the bottle like it had never been cleaned for a long time. Ok, too late to ring reception so went first thing on my way out to say, no hand soap, no body wash and also the mirror still had the previous visitors toothbrush spots all over the mirror. Of course, they were very sorry and said they would get onto that straight away and have it done by the time I got back in the afternoon. Get back, nothing, so ring reception twice and they finally came up with some new bottles. Then!!!! My toilet blocked, rang reception, had no idea what to do, so they rang someone. An hour later I ring again and ask what is happening, she said they are trying to find a plunger. I then went back into the bathroom and found a plunger next to the toilet. It must happen often!!! She then came to my door to tell me its not her in job description and that I would have to plunge the toilet myself, I said, I already have. The lift had just got back into service and looked sooo dodgy it was scary to go in it, carpet looked like it had been on a construction site, Everything was pretty old and painted over. So yeah, not a great experience at all and would never recommend it to any of my friends or...
