So first of all there's no dine in, just takeout, which is fine. But what really got me was the rice and the price. It was $22 for a few pieces of nigiri. One of the biggest things I judge sushi places on is the rice and the taste of the fish. The fish was okay, average. Good large serving of salmon slices , but nothing to write home about. But where it fell apart was the rice. The rice tasted too old and tough, like it was either not cooked through all the way or was dried out too much. The flavor in the rice was also negligible. I felt like I was eating plain steamed rice, I had to actually dip my nigiri into some soy sauce to even get any flavor.

So I would steer clear of this place if you want either affordable or good sushi, as it is neither from...

I was very much looking forward to getting takeout from this place. It’s opened since I moved, and finding moderately priced sushi for a night in isn’t always easy.

I got takeout on a Thursday night, one Nigiri A set and an order of salmon nigiri.

When I ate the first salmon, I noticed a metallic and funky taste to it. I looked more closely at the second piece and noticed some grey spots on it. It also smelled funny.

I decided to smell the other nigiri, and about 6 of the 14 pieces I ordered were inedible.

I love their intention of making accessibly-priced sushi and I would be willing to give them maybe one more shot on a...

Soooo fresh and soooo delicious.

Pick up was super simple, and I took it to Volunteer Park to enjoy on a perfect summer day. Prices were very reasonable. Pretty expensive lunch on the surface (~$50) but when you consider what you get it’s worth it. The packaging is super cute too!

We got the Nigiri combo (2x Nigiri sets, 2x Miso soup, 1x Seaweed Salad) and a spicy tuna maki. Honestly, probably could’ve done without the maki because the nigiri set and miso soup was pretty filling!

Our seaweed salad was just ok, I would skip it tbh. It came in the Nigiri combo so I don’t mind too much. I hope it was just a one off, I normally love seaweed salad.

I...
