One star only for the view. Iāve been here a few times. This last time tonight was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant ever. I donāt normally write reviews, especially bad ones as I try to extend a little bit of grace for people having a bad day, but I wanted to warn other potential customers if thatās what this place tried to call them to steer clear of coming here.
The gal on the first floor was gracious enough to move our reservation today and we were brought up without incident and enjoying our time. That was until about an hour and a half in the hostess at the restaurant came out and was very rude to us and essentially told us we needed to leave because our reservation was over. We explained that we had just ordered another round of drinks and asked if we should cancel that order and that we were not informed that there was a time limit on our reservation. Our waiter then came around we notified him of this interaction, he stated āno worries I got you, thereās no need to rush and I will put your orders in.ā We told him we would happy to close our bill out if that was what was needed. A few minutes later our round of drinks came with not another word and then it took another 20 minutes to see our bill. As we were signing our receipts to close out our bill the manager came up to us and rudely said we needed to leave, and it felt as if we were being escorted out. We explained to him that we had been waiting for a bill for over 20 minutes but he wasnāt willing to hear anything we had to say. I am disgusted that you would treat some well-paying customers, who had a substantial bill, in a manner like this.
Itās very clear that there was no communication between the gal down on the first floor, our waiter, the hostess, and the manager. When we made our way back down to the first floor we connected again with the gal that serves as the gate keeper to the elevator, and explained what had happened and that we had no problem leaving when we were first asked, but that was not what our waiter had ever asked us to do, and that we felt very upset that the manager came to essentially escort us out when we had been waiting for our bill for 20 minutes. We were happy to leave when we had been first asked. Itās sad to hear that this gal also stated that she had gotten in trouble over all of this. We will not be back and I will be telling all my friends and family about my experience and how awful the service was
Probably some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, for subpar food and drinks. The only thing this place has going for it is the view, but frankly after these experiences was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place is actually a really neat spot at the top of a hotel overlooking the U district and with a good seat you can see out across the water! We were pretty excited to go there for brunch, but unfortunately left disappointed.
I'm not one to write reviews normally at all, but this was a uniquely bad experience. The server was only what my wife and I could describe by asking each other "was she maybe on something?". No pleasantries, no checking in while we were wating for our food, no acknowledgement of the mix ups. I can understand completely if someone is busy, but this was just odd and almost uncomfortable.
My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy asking if she could do vegetarian (eats fish but not other meat) which seemed to be no issue at first, I ordered the seafood scramble dish, we ordered a drink each to start. The interaction was odd but totally fine initially.
It took about 35 mins for the food to come out, which honestly was not a problem except when the server brought it out she came missing the biscuits and gravy saying "I'm not sure if 'he' told you, but we can't make those vegetarian" to which we replied "no problem, she will just eat my seafood scramble and I will order the Benedict in it's place". We thought the problem was taken of. Server came back maybe 2 minutes later and told us the biscuits and gravy was already made so maybe I could just have that. At this point I just wanted to eat and would be fine just wrapping things up and moving on with our day. Then maybe another few minutes goes by and she came back to tell us that it wasn't actually made and I can have the Benedict. Never an acknowledgement of the mix up or mistake or a "it'll just be a few more mins". Then almost 20 more minutes go by and we were done picking at the other food (which was not very good), and we asked if we could just get the Benedict to go at this point. So my wife went down to grab the car while I waited to pay. Probably 15 more minutes later (roughly 1.5 hours+ there at this point) they bring out "my food". I pay and leave. Get home and sure enough what's in my bag?... A kale salad and what I would assume is someone's leftover Benedict.
I'd like to think it was just our server who was having a rough day or something cause the host was very pleasant and the bartender who stopped at the table to drop off our drinks were both great. But for 120$ this was maybe the worst service I've ever...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this bar in Seattle on Wednesday, February 5th. While the drinks were good and the decor was attractive, I felt compelled to write this review due to several aspects of the service that left much to be desired.
When I arrived around 7āÆpm, after taking the elevator, I was greeted by the front desk staff. They asked if I had a reservation, and when I replied that I did not, I was immediately seated next to the bathrooms. This was confusing, as several other tables were available without any reservations indicated. After receiving my drink, I still didnāt feel comfortable at that table. I asked if there was any availability at the bar counter, but within momentsāand without even really checkingāthe staff replied that there were none.
Seeing no opportunity to change my seating, I decided to walk around. One of my main reasons for visiting was to enjoy the view; I donāt live in Seattle and traveled all the way from Paris specifically to experience the cityās famed rooftop sceneryāsomething we donāt have much of back home. While walking, I noticed that more tables were freeing up, and to add to my disappointment, there were at least four available spots at the bar counter.
After finishing my drink, I decided to leave because I felt that this place lacked a true sense of hospitality. As an F&B director in Paris, I always ensure that my staff is trained to proactively help guests and create a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, no one approached me at any point to see if I wanted to switch tables, even after the venue had clearly calmed down. Iām not sure how busy this place gets on a Wednesday night, but it didnāt seem crowded at all that evening.
In summary, while the drinks and ambiance are promising, the service did not meet the expectations of a welcoming, guest-focused establishment. I hope the management will take steps to improve their...
