I feel terrible with this review because the service is better than the food. Our server was proactive, maybe because it was a slow tuesday night. But the linguini we got was to be honest, one of the worst pastas I tried. I had about two bites of the pasta and they asked if I wanted a togo box and I declined because it was that bad. It had a sour bitter taste to it without much seasoning and the blanc taste was so strong (I’m guessing they didn’t let the alcohol evaporate off enough). I tried masking it with more salt and pepper and it didn’t help. Maybe I’m basic but I like to say I like most pastas, even noodles and company is better. I can’t speak on their other pastas since I didn’t try them or I ordered the wrong one but the linguini was terrible. And we also ordered the garlic cheesy focaccia bread. It was $8 if I remember and it was not worth it. The bread was mediocre and the garlic confit was okay. It’s really difficult to try and mess up bread and confit. The pasta was I think $24, and it seriously needs to be removed from the menu. Anyways, the service was good and the atmosphere was okay. As a client to is also staying at the Hyatt hotel that this restaurant is located in, I will unfortunately not be going there again during my week trip.

It's a bummer that reviews from breakfast and dinner are merged, because it seems they should be differentiated. I visited for dinner - The service all around was great, especially the host/manager/maitre'd gentleman. They have a lot of gluten free options, and are good about remembering that as your preference. I was originally in the mood for pizza, but I feel like I would have been disappointed after seeing photos in other reviews. Tomato soup was good, it wasn't very creamy but had just the right amount of cheese which added that element. For entree I ordered chicken picatta (GF), it was heavy on the capers but chock full of flavor. I don't usually have dessert, but the cannoli was asking for a sampling. Everything was delicious and I'm sure I stretched the limits of my daily calorie intake in one meal. The only opportunity for improvement is with their online system: the menus posted online are different from the actual menu presented at the table. I booked a reservation at 5:30 and the soonest time offered was 7:15, which I chose, however when I arrived at 7:10 the dining room was less than half full. It seemed like I could have eaten sooner if I just walked in at 6:00.

I decided to plan a last-minute birthday dinner for myself and invited some friends. I originally wanted to go to a rooftop bar but most of them had very select menus and it just made more sense with the temperatures to go with an indoor restaurant. I've been to this hotel before, but never checked out this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. I made a reservation online and put the special occasion as my birthday. PROS: Atmosphere was amazing, check in was very smooth, and the waiter was friendly. CONS: My birthday was never acknowledged, and while the food looked tasty it lacked flavor for the most part. I’m not much of a drinker so I typically go for a mock-tail. I didn’t see any on the menu, but I did ask the waiter if it was possible to make one and I ended up opting for a basic lemonade. I even found myself drowning it in salt and pepper for some added flavor. One of my friends was a little upset, because we were sort of rushed out of the dining area and told to move either to the bar or the hotel lobby. I'd give them 3.5 stars overall for the experience, but I don't see myself coming back any time soon.

Conveniently located in the Hyatt Regency I gave the bar area a try for dinner after being enticed by the menu. Though it wasn’t terribly busy around 8pm when I arrived, I waited 5-10 minutes to be acknowledged by wait staff who had long conversations with some patrons and entirely ignored others. Traveling for business I can see how I may have appeared less interesting than the four-top going on a cruise next to me. They appeared to receive extremely friendly and prompt service while another table nearby like mine at the edge of the bar - a two top - were hardly checked on. I wasn’t bothered at all by this. What was most lackluster was my order not coming out as requested. I ordered a salad and pizza excited that there was a gluten free crust option. It wasn’t worth the trouble of remaking the salad the way I requested even though that was offered which I appreciated. The pizza arrived with a burned crust and very little flavor. The wait staff had asked at some point if I wanted chili flakes with the pizza which sounded good. It could have added some flare to the basic marinara sauce, delicious roasted cherry tomatoes and rubbery buffalo cheese. But it wasn’t dropped off until I was most of the way through the first slice. The pizza was quite large but I would not order it again. The waiter apologized for not being more attentive as I left the bar, which was nice! Some times a restaurant or a wait person has an “off” night. No big deal. But both the food and the service missed for me. I won’t be back unless someone I know really wants to eat at Andare Kitchen and Bar. Glad it was in the hotel but not worth crossing the street for...

Heads up to anyone who cares: CHECK YOUR BILLS!!! You’ll be paying an 18% service charge without even realizing it.

The food? Meh, pretty forgettable. The pasta was alright, but the calamari? Skip it. The batter falls off, so half the time you're just eating fried batter with sauce.

Service? Nothing special—they brought us a bottle of water and that was it. Despite plenty of open tables, they stuck us at a window bar for some reason, and the whole staff gave off major "we don’t want to be here" vibes.

Now, here’s the sneaky part—they give you a bill with just the total, no breakdown of the charges. When we asked for an itemized bill, we noticed an 18% "service charge" tacked on after tax, which is basically a tip they didn’t tell us about. We almost double-tipped! And for what? I’m pouring my own water! At this rate, I might as well serve myself from the kitchen.

That whole bill situation left a worse taste in my mouth than the food. We always tip, but come on—what service were we even tipping for?

Don’t charge us without telling us! It feels like you're scamming every customer who walks in. Honestly, the service charge probably makes more than the food and drinks to keep this place afloat.

Good luck if you decide...
