I love this location; the view is spectacular. My eating buddies (my twin sisters), my daughter and I went here on Sunday at almost 3ish. With the weather being nice for an April month, I thought that this place was going to be busy but boy was I wrong. As a whole, there were only about 4 tables being served including us. No protest here. The less people the better, more rapid service for us and rapid service it was but not solely all in a positive way. Iāll explain in a bit. We were seated instantly and our drinks were served right away as well. We ordered our food afterwards and it took about 20 minutes for everything to come out but we did order Espresso, that took about 5-8 minutes. I ordered the Nutella latte, Palermo salad and the Kiddo cheese bread. As for the twins, they both ordered Spaghetti alle vongole, and decided to split the Mista salad; Charlotte had the Nutella latte as well but Charlynn went for the Caffe latte. We know we took our time talking and eating but that is the purpose of eating out is to eat and talk. Towards the middle end of our meal, we all felt that we were being rushed to get finished. Our server sort of over checked on us (1st it was the plates, if she can remove some but you can visibly see that we were still eating, so we said no; 2nd time, she asked again about 10 minutes interval from the 1st) After that, she asked us if we wanted box for our meal when clearly you can tell that we were still trying to finish up and were still talking; so, we said no again. Then, about 10 minutes later she went back with the dessert menu. Itās hard to explain but we all noticed the urgency coming out of the server, about 5 minutes later, another server started helping us out. We were thinking maybe her shift was ending so she wanted to close all her tables before leaving thatās why she was in a hurry. Maybe she didnāt want her tip to go towards the new server? Even after all that, the service was still good. At least I canāt say they werenāt attentive. As for the food: Palermo salad: I will give this a 7.5, I think the dressing wasnāt enough and not as flavorful as I would like, it felt a little dry but the vegetables were fresh & you can certainly taste it. The regular size can easily be shared. Nutella latte: Presentation is a 10 but the taste would be a 8.75 for me. Spaghetti alle vongole: It would be an 8.5. The ingredients tasted fresh and the taste was light but very flavorful. Kiddo cheese bread: 8.5. The bread was thin but done in the right way and the cheese wasn't overpowering, perfect amount not too much and I loved that it was cooked by firewood. I thought my daughter wouldn't like it but she did. The marinara sauce was good. I am not sure if it's their house marinara sauce but if it is, I give it a thumbs up because it's the type of taste I want if it is fresh and not processed sauce. Mista salad: 8 but I would give it a nine if the dressing wasn't so light. Maybe next time I would ask for extra dressing because that's how I like my salad. The arugula was fresh and crunchy, so I knew that they were serving me fresh salad :-). I am happy about that. I would recommend this place a) the view is spectacular b) food is great c) prizes are okay as well considering the location and d) the atmosphere is wonderful, especially at night I am assuming.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat atmosphere, good service, disappointing food.
Letās start with the positives. The patio dining was great in the middle of the Seattle summer. The server was nice and friendly, the food was taking a bit long but we went during off-hours, so they may be a bit short staffed. Great place to hangout and relax for an afternoon.
Despite the food took so long to come, the taste was really disappointing. We ordered 4 dishes and two drinks, most was quite bland.
The best dish was their summer salad, the flavor was amazing and balanced, the arugula went really well with the peaches and the burrata cheese really gave the spicers up the texture. The nectarines could be fresher, itās a bit too ripened for the dish, but good taste and flavor overall. My second favorite is their Prosciutto and burrata, the prosciutto wasnāt overly salty or fatty, and went really well with the burrata the bread. So I guess if these were the only two dishes I ordered I wouldāve given a higher rating⦠but I came here for their pizzaā¦
Ok the pizza. We got their summer special which the pistachios were really flavorful, I have never had pistachios on pizza before but this was surprisingly tasty. However the mortadella tasted just like lunch meat, at this point I feel like I might as well be eating lunch meat, just the low sodium version. Itās at least cheaper and it can achieve the same taste and texture. The ricotta topping was a bit too much for me after the first slice, but my husband enjoyed it so I think thatās more about personal preference. This is something anyone can imitate at home to be honest, and you can really get the same dish by using roasted then crushed pistachios and bake your crust, then add low sodium lunch meat on top with blended ricotta. I wouldnāt recommend the summer special pizza.
The most disappointing dish was the cauliflower. I looked forward to it as itās supposed to be flavored with anchovy and Iām a huge fan of fish in general. When in reality, the dish had no anchovy flavor (I wondered how you make a fish not fishy), very over cooked, and rather bland. I almost hope they used frozen cauliflowers as it wouldnāt been a waste of fresh ingredients to achieve such mushy texture. Tasted very much like mass produced cafeteria food.
What also really sucked with our experience was the drink. My husband doesnāt drink alcohol but I do, I ordered a drink and he ordered the only drink on the menu that provided a nonalcoholic option. But they managed to swap our alcoholic options, so my drink was made with water rather than gin and he actually had an alcoholic one. We exchanged our drink after we found out, but the drink he ordered was just too herbal for my taste, and I was not a fan of the strong flavors.
Overall unless Iām starving and thereās absolutely no food to eat, I really would recommend going downstairs to the WholeFoods and get their hot food instead. The tastes are comparable but you are only spending a fraction of the money. This is a nice place to hangout though, so if you are hanging out with a large group of people and worry about food being too flavorful, this might be a good choice⦠just make sure every drinks or doesnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I even begin? I used to be a big fan of Tutta Bella, and so was my mom. The Westlake location has since closed and relocated to Virginia Street. The new spot looks much more upscale, but it comes with fewer pizza options and a greater emphasis on cocktails and alcohol. So, is it still the same Tutta Bella we loved?
Anyways, we arrived at 6:55 and left at 8:37, and honestly, the experience was a disaster from start to finish. It took forever to get our drinks and pizzas, but I was patient since it's a new location and they seemed relatively busy-at first, anyway. But then things got even worse.
Once the initial rush died down (there were only five tables occupied), we were completely ignored for a long while. No water refills. Not even once. Desserts weren't brought out for 30 minutes, and I had ordered them at the same time as the main meals (pizzas). When I finally lost my patience and asked about them, it seemed like they suddenly remembered, and yet it still took another 10 minutes to arrive. And guess what? They brought the desserts without spoons.
It took another 5 minutes just to get the attention of our server, and when I asked for spoons, they said "okay" and then went off to pour water for a new table instead. When the waiter finally came back, it was with the CHECK- NOT THE SPOONS. Priorities, right? All while asking me if there was anything we wanted. At that point, I was completely done and told the waiter, "spoons, but honestly, just bring to-go boxes."
Eventually, the spoons and boxes showed up (at that point: 30 minutes waiting for desserts + 5 minutes to flag down the no-spoons situation + another 5-7 minutes when he arrived with the check instead of spoons = 42 minutes!!! Just to get the damn desserts!). I packed up my desserts to go. Zero tip, because zero effort. To top it all off, the manager (who greeted us so warmly and was so proud of how "fancy" the new location was when I pointed that out to him upon my arrival and looking at the place) completely ignored us as we walked out the door. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. If the manager doesn't care, why should the staff?
They seem to be having an identity crisis, trying to be an upscale, cocktail-focused spot with increased pizza prices but with VERY POOR execution and cheap fast-food chain customer service (with the food not even being fast, LOL). Honestly, good luck to this new location-you're going to need it. I will never be back, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time here either. This is NOT the Tutta Bella...
