This cafe has a bit to work on after opening. Starting positive, the atmosphere was friendly, the cafe was clean with lots of pretty seating, perfect for catching up with a friend. The menu also contains some interesting items, and I liked the inclusion of a coffee and mini donut combo (which is what I ordered, called the âSofa Mochaâ combo on the menu for $7.50.) The donut was also not bad. On the other hand, my mocha was sickeningly sweet and almost sticky in texture - I didnât want to finish my drink because of the flavor. I couldnât taste any espresso under the âchocolateâ flavor - I understand that sweeter drinks make it hard for the espresso to shine but this was quite excessive.
I also checked out the grab-n-go area, which had a fair selection of sandwiches and other goodies, but for a couple more bucks than youâd anticipate.
As of now, Iâd go back for a donut if a friend invited me but Iâd bring my own drink. I hope this cafe has great luck in improving the coffee experience going forward - the competition in...
Read moreHappened to be in the area and remembered seeing an insta reel about how good this place was so decided to stop in. As others have noted, the atmosphere is really nice in there, but I think they still have a bit of work to do.
Ordered a cold brew. The menu lists 2 sizes. I order the bigger size and the cashier looks at me like Iâm crazy and says they only have one size. Once I got the cold brew it tasted so watery.
Ordered the chorizo breakfast wraps and they were okay, but not worth the $10.50 price point. They serve it with a side of salsa that doesnât taste like anything.
Cashier wasnât taking names and kept putting âHâ for every order so it was confusing when the employees kept calling out âorder for H.â
I think this place has potential, just quite a bit work to do. Admittedly didnât check out their market section or donut/gelato offerings. I also think it would be nice if they offered WiFi for customers as my cell service wasnât great in...
Read moreThis is a great little cafe. The iced americano was pretty tasty, and their coffee at a baseline is good. the shot of espresso was flavorful. A little acidic but not too bitter. Better than I expected! The Focaccia is also fantastic, and they just have a bit of everything. Gelato, pastries, coffee, a little convenience self-checkout, etc. just a really nice addition to the neighborhood.
Service was great, and things seem to be running smoothly on opening day! There was a steady stream of customers, but it wasnât packed.
I took off one star because I just canât get used to paying $5 (post-tax, pre-tip) for a shot of espresso, even in SLU. Iâm just canât forget the delicious âŹ1 espresso you can get in Rome. Seattle is high cost of living, but...
