Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Selma

I went on opening day at around 2pm. The inside seemed too chaotic so I went through the drive thru. Not as many cars as I thought there would be so it was pretty quick. It still felt a little unorganized though but I won't hold them to it considering it was the first day open. I got a combo #1 which is a double with onions and pickles. The combo also gives you the price with or without cheese which is pretty cool. I ended up paying $8.65. The burger itself looked great. The meat was nice and juicy. The pickles weren't cut in the traditional way but instead are cut longways which I actually enjoyed. The bun was nice and toasted. The burger was delicious and I really enjoyed it. I think the worst part of my experience was the fries. The fries are cut into these very thin pieces and they can easily become too crunchy. They were nicely salted and most of them were cooked well but a good portion of them were too crunchy. Feels more like I'm eating chips. I recommend this place for the burgers but the fries are not so great.

I will update my review when I visit the restaurant and get to go inside. I also wanna try the Frozen Custard

UPDATE: My wife and I visited the restaurant and even though it was packed, it was easy to go in and get our food. Their fry jalapeno sauce was really good and the onion rings were also delicious. We tried the Custard and it was pretty great. I got the dirt cup sundae and it was really good. I'm changing my rating...

I stopped by to order my Mom and I a turtle Carmel fudge custard Sundae on Sunday. As I sat and waited on them to make it ...All of 15 minutes. The employees were trying to get the drive thru orders out before the dine in and inside to go orders. The employees had no sense of urgency in getting the orders out. Some employees looked very lost, no since of direction or management. So many employees with no control and just standing around, very disorganized! Once I did see a Mgr. (as he was bringing a cash drawer to the front), I said excuse me, I've been waiting for my order its just 2 sundaes for 15 minutes and while waiting I noticed the Drive thru is getting priority. He turned to the staff and said start on her order. He went on the order line and said are those hers, "Get her out of here now!" The employee handed the Sundaes to me and I left. I wanted to bring something special for my Mom, but if I was not getting it for her I definitely would have ask for a refund. Apparently the unprofessional Mgr. has forgotten that customers patronize Freddy's and in turn this is how he gets paid.

Horrible experience and Selma's Location is the worst ever. I'll never give your location 2 cents of my money, "Ever"! The sad part is the Carmel Turtle Fudge Custard was the worst looking and tastless pathetic dessert I've ever had. The perfect picture photo of it in the store is clearly...

We had not had Freddy's in a while and this trip reminded me why that is. Although the burgers are tasty and fresh I do not like the shoestring french fries when they are not piping hot fresh because they turn stiff and hard when they cool. The fries we were served were not hot or even warm for that matter. My biggest dislike with this visit was the fact that I waited over 10 minutes for my milkshake which usually comes before the food. My daughter went t too get the food when our ticket number was called and returned to the table without the shake. She went back for the shake and was told by a girl at the counter that she didn't believe her and would not make the shake without seeing the receipt. My daughter returned to the counter with the receipt and the girl asked what kind of cherries in the shake. Really? The employees don't know what kind of cherries go into their shakes? The shake was made and was good until I got to the bottom of it and located the handful of cherry stems thrown into for good measure. I guess the moral of the story here is do not point out or remind the staff of mistakes made on their part and they won't be rude, absurd, or vindictive to you.
