One would think Macaroni Grill would learn and improve given the feedback. That does not seem to be happening here. First of all, we had a problem with both the service and the food, with the service being the worst. We have dined here serval times and the service has be poor on occasion, but the food has been good. This time the service was horrible and the food not good. My wife and I ordered Chicken Parmesan and I got the Unlimited Salad. It took 20 mins to get my salad. The salad was sitting on the counter for over 10 mins and I was calling the server and he ignored me. Finally another employee heard me and got my salad, followed immediately by our Chicken Parm. The chicken was burnt, really burnt. I have pics to show it. The server was gone and I was hungry so I ate some of it. It was not good. I could not get another salad because the server was not around, and I could not complain about the burnt chicken. Finally, about 20 mins later, the server returned and asked if we needed to go boxes and seemed to really want to get rid of us. This server had a trainee with him and the trainee brought the boxes and check to the table, so out of kindness, I did not want to complain to them. This was a very unpleasant dining experience and I feel like compensation and corrective action is needed. I sent a complaint to Macaroni Grill corporate, but seems they either do not care or have too many complaints to handle because after 14 days I did not receive a response. Macaroni Grill is suppose to be a high quality Italian restaurant, at least the higher menu prices would indicate that. That being said, I would expect the dining experience to reflect that. My visit did not support this. Ordered the Crate Your Own Pasta with mushrooms. asparagus and broccolini. This is a unique dish that allows for customer creativity in selecting their options. Also ordered the "Unlimited Soup and Salad", and asked for the Lobster Bisque and a garden salad as the server seemed very please that Macaroni Grill offered both. The server told me the soup would be right out. 20 minutes later I got the soup. Four minutes after that I got the entre. Never got the salad and asked for it again. Was told it would be right out. Meanwhile, I started eating the pasta, but there was no broccolini, that I ordered, in it. In addition, the asparagus was very hard and uneatable. Ten minutes later the salad arrived. When the server delivered my salad I told and showed her the asparagus and she said she would tell the manager. I did not mention the absence of broccolini in the pasta with everything else going on. The server never asked if I wanted anything else and we got the feeling she wanted to rush us out of the restaurant. There were only two other tables occupied at the time. The servers do not write any orders down on paper and this is a very silly given that they do not get the order correct. Also, my wife told me the bathroom smelled old and dirty. The only reason I gave two stars rather than one is because my wife liked her pasta.

Stopped by this place because we were in the area and it was Saturday night 8ish pm. Parking lot was almost empty, we were not sure the place was open. Once we went inside there were maybe 3 or 4 tables seated. I remember loving this place ( the Huebner Oaks location) and figured it can't be that bad. We'll, considering that the place was not busy and it appeared as if they had adequate staff, the whole experience was subpar. Let's start with good part - $20 bottle of Malbec was pretty good for the price, caprese salad was really good (it had some arugula on the plate as well), their bread is always amazing...lobster bisque tasted great, but came out luke warm...steak was cooked perfectly but the broccolini was way undercooked. Chicken dish was literally thrown together, missing capers and half the mushrooms were still dry as if they just threw them on top at the end without sautéing them at all with the rest. Pasta was served dry with whatever little bit of sauce dripped on it when they placed it on. The dish tasted ok, but the presentation was terrible. Let the server know; they offered to bring me some capers on the side, I declined because it's not the same as having those sautéing with the rest of the ingredients in the sauce. I was not sending the dish back or asking for anything different, just wanted to bring it to their attention. Anyways, poured our own wine the entire time ( I know this isn't a fine dining place, but if the staff is just standing around, they could at least pour the wine once in a while). Having worked in restaurant business in the past, I had expected management to stop by after the complaint, not to comp anything or give free stuff - it's just good business. I don't know how their business is on other days, but if it's as dead as it was Saturday night, I'd suggest they look at changing some things because their food is not bad, menu has good options, and the place is nice inside. Staff was nice and friendly, but could be a bit more attentive.

My wife and I and our 2 kids had a terrible experience at this location at the Forum. They were very understaffed which can be circumstantial, and I can understand sometimes it's out of management's control. However, when understaffed the employees who are present need to step up to ensure the customer experience is still satisfactory. They did not do this at all. We waited for a long time once seated to be greeted by a server. He quickly informed us he would not be our server but could get us drinks. We ordered sweet tea and water. We only received water. We were told the tea was brewing, and when it was ready we would get it. It never came. We waited with empty glasses of water and I contemplated leaving, but our server finally came. He then proceeded to tell us how understaffed they were and how busy he was but he would try to take care of us. I used to be a server, and a server's job is not to get sympathy from the customer but to make sure the customer has a great experience and meal. The rest of the night we hardly saw our server, but plenty of times witnessed management doing absolutely nothing while tables sat waiting to be greeted and others with empty glasses waiting to be refilled. And finally, the food was absolutely TERRIBLE! Even after all the annoyances from the employees if the food had been great I could get past it all. But the food was awful. No seasoning at all, meat was obviously frozen at one point, it was amateur at best. I didn't expect five star dining but I could have eaten a microwave burrito and been more satisfied with taste and flavor than the garbage that was put on our plates. If you have read this much you probably are leaning towards not going here, but just in case you need one last little but of encouragement not to go, save your money. For the prices they charge you can eat at a much nicer "Italian" restaurant in town and get what you pay for. Or just get some microwave burritos and enjoy a meal that's a step...
