This store has A LOT of room for improvement. There's too many issues to list here, but my main frustration was that they do not answer the phone. I called over 20 times during a course of a week with no answer. I finally went in to ask about my daughter's ring that was sent out to be resized. While I was there, they had 5 calls that were ignored by the staff. If your policy is to ignore the phone when customers are in the store, you need to set up a messaging system and return calls. On top of that, they had to send the ring out twice due to their lack of communication (they didn't realize it was for a child & thought the request was wrong) The only email I received was from the first time it was sent out showing that they received the ring. I was told I would receive an email stating when it was done as well as when it was back in the store/ready to be picked up. I never got any other emails from either time it was sent out and when I did go in the store to inquire about it, they stated they tried to call me 4 days before and couldn't leave a message even though I have voicemail set up on my phone and no missed call from them & they only attempted once without following up or emailing. I won't even go into the criticism we received from 2 employees about the ring my daughter picked out with her dad being too large for her... But after 42 days, my daughter finally has her ring back. I don't look forward to dealing with them again for the...
Read moreMy fiancĂ© bought me a beautiful engagement ring at Kayâs in November 2013. The ring was beautiful, but I noticed that the center stone was crooked (it was surrounded by halo diamonds, making it even more obvious). We went to the Kay Jewelerâs in West Towne Mall in Madison, WI (where he bought it), and the sales lady was incredibly rude about our inquiries to fix it, making comments like âYeah, we can send it in for repair, but that doesnât mean that you wonât think they overcorrected it when you get it back.â So yeah, a little peeved at their lack of professionalism.
I was in San Antonio over Christmas, and we decided to go to a different location for a second opinion. We went to the Rolling Oaks Kay Jewelers, and the sales associates Phillip and Denise noticed right away that the stone was crooked. Denise, who was very knowledgeable about the jewelry and concerned with us leaving the store happily, offered to switch out the ring with one they had in the store. This new ring was perfectly centered, and we were so relieved that they took our satisfaction with an expensive purchase seriously. I am so happy that we were able to talk to Denise and Phillip- they made a lot of apprehension about our purchase go away. Ask for Denise of Phillip if you go to the Rolling Oaks Kay Jewelers- they will take...
Read moreI drug my boyfriend here while we were in the area because we have been looking at rings. When we walked in, Megan greeted us and was immediately super helpful and knowledgeable. She allowed me to look at rings and even showed me how I could customize different looks.
Lina came over and greeted my boyfriend, shaking his hand. I was very confused at first because I had never met her before and did not know how she knew my boyfriend. She then proceeded to tell me that my boyfriend was at the location earlier in the day when I was at my appointment and was looking at the exact ring I wanted by himself (then proceeded to tell me that he set up an account and was looking to buy the ring). I looked over at my boyfriend and he seemed very upset. Lina completely ruined the surprise for us. She then proceeded to attempt to pressure my boyfriend into buying my engagement ring right then and there, as if I wasnât sitting right next to him.
I just wish we were able to keep the element of surprise but unfortunately it was slightly taken...
