Five Bucks Drinkery — Restaurant in Seminole

Not a good experience, While waiting for a table , we sat at the bar and were acknowledged by the bartender and told to wait just a minute. after 15 minutes of waiting patiently, she proceeded to help five other people that had just arrived to the bar. My father politely mentioned that she has helped multiple people that arrived after us and she rudely ignored us (we are a party of 4) later we asked another waitress if she could please help us even though she was working the other end of the bar. This bartender was very apologized and was able to serve us.During this horrible experience, we got a call for our table -not even five minutes after the call they gave our table away, even though they knew our faces and we’re sitting at the end of the bar right next to the hostess booth RIGHT in front of the hostess!!! It’s really sad to see a super cool place go to waste based off of terrible staff. I would not recommend, not worth the time. Maybe another location will be better. I understand being busy but to acknowledge a customer and then help people who have only just arrived before the customers you told to wait patiently is completely rude and not proper bar etiquette.-

After writing, but not posting this review,(quite a while after since we had to wait for our table again because they gave our table away) she did come up to the table and apologized. That takes true guts and I really do appreciate it - that should be acknowledged. However, I feel like there’s more of the restaurant/staff could’ve done to avoid this extremely unpleasant experience.

Very disappointing experience. We went to Five Bucks Drinkery on Friday for lunch. When we placed our order, we asked the waitress if it was okay to trade the tater tots from my daughter’s kids meal for mac and cheese, and said we’d be happy to pay the upcharge. She went to check with the manager and never came back, so we assumed everything was fine.

As we were waiting, everything seemed to be going well until my daughter suddenly said she saw a cockroach. I tried to stay calm, turned on my flashlight, and sure enough — there was a huge cockroach right at her feet. Instead of making a scene since the place was busy, we quietly got up and moved to another table. The waitress noticed and immediately helped us move our things and apologized. She was very kind and professional.

A few minutes later, the bartender (who I assume was the manager) brought our food and mentioned that they allowed the trade for mac and cheese this time but that we wouldn’t be able to do that again in the future. Not exactly the most understanding tone, especially after what just happened. You would think she might apologize for the roach situation — but nothing was said about it.

When the bill came, we were charged the upcharge for the mac and cheese anyway. No discount or acknowledgment for the incident at all. The waitress was wonderful, but the manager’s attitude and lack of concern made the whole experience really...

My, daughter, her boyfriend, and I were there last Saturday night 08/09/25. My daughter and I arrived at about 5:20 and we wanted a both, but there weren't any so we sat at a regular table. Our Server Taylor took our drinks orders and got them. My daughters boyfriend showed up about 19 minutes later and she came and took his drink order. She gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and came back about 6:10 and we ordered pretzel bites. About 40 minutes went buy and we still hadn't received them so I asked Taylor. She went to see about them and came back and said the order wasn't put in. 20 minutes later they came out. We ordered our food just before they came out. I asked for no green pepper on my steak wrap, but it had them on it so I just ate it. We got refills on our drinks, but she never brought my daughter her iced tea until we reminded her about 15 minutes before we left. Also she didn't bring silverware with our appetizer. She said she had to go in the back to get it. She never did. We asked another Server and she told our server. We've been to that location and pinellas park a few other times.
