Called in a pick up order and was told it would be one amount. Then when food was being picked up was told a completely different amount then asked if we wanted an extra salsa THEN was charged an extra 13$ for a large chips and salsa that was not asked for and told them to take it off but they had already charged the card 74$. Then they had to re submit the order and I had to pay AGAIN another 60$ and was in total charged 130$ for my food. When I got back to WORK and looked at my food the order was all wrong. The tacos didn’t have the right toppings, the NO TOMATO taco salad had tomatoes and was extremely small compared to every other time I’ve eaten there and the dessert item I ordered also had a bunch of random toppings on it, And it’s only supposed to have cinnamon and honey. they also took the complimentary salsa and chips as well when they snatched the whole bag of large chips and salsa (that I never asked for) back and was then stuck with a VERY small bag of stale tortilla chips and a GIANT tub of queso. So I called to tell them all the issues and was lied to by the first person who picked up the phone when I asked if he was a manager and as soon as I started voicing my complaints had to give the phone to AN ACTUAL MANAGER. And was told the only thing I could do was come back to the restaurant but like I said I WAS AT WORK. so I guess I’m out of luck on this one but for a restaurant that has a sign saying “they are all for the customers” it sure doesn’t seem like it. Especially when they tried up charging me for a large chips and salsa that I DIDNT ask for and then try to gaslight me into thinking I did when all I was asked was if I wanted an extra SIDE of salsa. Literally ate here LAST WEEK and everything was perfect like every other time but after this experience I’m not sure if I’ll be back to...
Read moreWe were in Cincinnati at Great wolf lodge for a couple of days and we didn’t want the food at the resort. So we decided to get food on the outside and I had the taste for birria tacos. I called and asked if they served Birria tacos and the cashier was very kind and let me know that they indeed did. We got to the restaurant and didn’t see the tacos on the menu so we asked the cashier if we were still able to order the birria tacos. she said yes they just weren’t on the menu, red flag right there. I should have known. So I asked if it came with the consome she said yes. I asked if they served them with green onion cilantro and lime she said yes. We got our food in a timely fashion very fast service and the food was hot. So no complaint there at all! Very fast service and food was hot. Now this is where it gets bad! Now I know what birria tacos should taste and look like, the food had neither attribute. The tacos were dry no cilantro or green onion in them. the consome was watery and clear with no flavor at all! The flavor profile was not there at all! I don’t think that this restaurant usually make’s birria I think they just said yes because they thought that we didn’t know what it was suppose to taste or look like. I was very dissatisfied with my food 100% I won’t be back. We ordered more food on top of that and we were very dissatisfied with that as well. I thank you for you fast service and kindness but...
Read moreI'm sorely disappointed. A change in location should not mean a change in past preparation, flavor, texture, or or size, shape, and quantity of ingredients. The Pollo Loco - they changed it! Why? It's so awful now:
not served on a sizzling skillet vegetables (mushrooms zuchinni onions) are SLIVERS as though cut with a potato peeler chicken is served as a topping rather than as an integral part of the dish the mixture sits in a baby poop brown watery substance that used to be sizzling cheese charged $3 for extra onions which didn't seem to be included there was a single sliver of zuchini and 2 slivers of mushrooms the tomatoes are water-filled without the sizzling skillet everything was basically flavorless included one chunck of green pepper which I don't think is supposed to be in the dish.
Need I say more. Whomever made this decision knows nothing about cooking methods or cares to provide the customer with a nice bite of vegetables - WHERE ARE THE VEGETABLES?
Final thoughts: the people are great and one of the guys told me I can ask for the "old menu pollo loco", the volume is absolutely unbearable, and I'll forever miss the more peaceful experience of great food at the old restaurant.
I'm sure the goal of "corporate" is to reduce costs. Instead,...
