I visit this location every weekend faithfully for brunch with my family or for take-out. This past weekend, I went in, ordered my normal to-go about $45 in food. Cashiers were great, my order was taken perfectly. They were a bit busier than usual and had a food runner double checking orders to ensure they were correct, which I thought was great considering the amount of people that were waiting. After checking the order myself, I realized my order was in fact wrong. Correct amount of items, but one wrong sandwich and missing cheese and croutons for my soup. I gave the sandwich to the food runner and explained it wasn’t the one that I ordered. She was so polite and apologized and ensured me it would be corrected and I could even keep that sandwich and grab a pastry for the trouble. She handled the situation great, only for it to back fire in her face when she asked the kitchen for the sandwich to be remade. An employee in the kitchen, who I can describe only to have blue hair, yelled at her and said she would NOT remake the sandwich because she did not mess up the order. She became frustrated throwing items up on the counter, insisting the food runner gave me the wrong bag. That was not the case at all and even if it was, her attitude was horrible! Everyone waiting for their food began to talk among themselves on how horrible she wasn’t only treating her fellow employee but treating her customer. I would never want that girl as part of my team, especially under pressure. Thank you to the food runner who held her composure, got the orders out as correctly as she could and made sure I eventually got my correct sandwich. Although I never received the other...
Read moreWent to the Derby location for the last time today around 3:pm Saturday 23rd (check Derby review) and then went to the Shelton location at 3:20pm for the very last time today!
Here at the Shelton location I gave my order to cashier Brianna and I order the pick 2 with steak and white cheddar on a asiago bagel, but low and behold no asiago bagels available so I say put it on whatever. Okay, so I will have the turkey chili, but low and behold no turkey chili available. Okay, so I will take a chicken caesar salad, but low and behold no croutons available, okay I guess I will do without croutons. I will take a bear claw with that order, but low and behold no bear claws available. I guess I have to take the orange scone then.
What the @?&$ is going on at these two locations??!! I couldn’t even eat what I wanted to eat I had to eat what I had to settle for!? For goodness sake this isn’t rocket science!?
First, fire the GMs and then flip the entire crew because this is a total fail and loss at both Derby and Shelton locations!!
I will never go back to either location and from the look of it after seeing many other reviews listed neither are many other people!
Can’t wait till both locations close down so we can have new restaurants...
Read moreManagement is consistently letting down the workers preparing food and seem to take no ownership of getting orders out in a timely fashion. I ordered a blueberry scone through the app while I drove over. I walk in 7 minutes after placing the order. My name is first on the screen and says it's being prepared. 10 mins pass while one girl (glasses and bandana) is the ONLY one making or preparing any food. I hear people including the manager just shooting the breeze then the manager goes "Does someone want to get this blueberry scone? I'm going to bump it." Not only does this mean they are lying about the time it takes to prep orders, but the manager couldn't even bother to go get the scone herself. I point out that I'm waiting so if someone could get it that would be great. I get handed a scone in a bag - no napkins, no receipt, no thank you for coming to Panera. This is consistently the experience at Fountain Square. You can't expect your workers to work hard if you don't. I've had other visits where sandwiches had to be remade simply because they were left to sit on a counter while I stood there waiting and the worker was "confused" because they...
