Starbucks — Restaurant in Sherman

Being a Starbucks and held to a constant standard, I give it a 4. Always clean and as quick as they can be. But it is the only Starbucks in Sherman and along the highway so it gets very busy and there is always a long long line. I don't think Starbucks anticipated the amount of drive-thru traffic this location would get. The building is shared by another store and both share the small parking lot in front. There is ample parking behind for the retail businesses behind Starbucks but that is more of a walk than even I want to make. Because of the parking and how the drive-thru is set up, it often makes it difficult to get in, out, or to even drive through the parking lot. You will often find yourself trapped if you park directly in front of the Starbucks. My advice is to park off tot he side near the gas station where you will have room to back up. Also, the staff here seems to be hit or miss. At Starbucks, you expect prompt service and cheerful personalities. They are more print to help the drive-thru customers than the walk-in customers. After purchasing 2 coffee and a Burrito breakfast, I decided to stay for computer work. While here I order and after a while I ordered from Papa Johhs, some bites. While picking up next door they pizza place gave two pizza boxes for free plus my order. At this point I came back inside starbuck. The store personnel advised, that I couldn't eat outside food inside, for which I decided to keep the boxes closed, understanding "their non-written policy". Two minutes after, the manager ask us to leave the store, just because the boxes were sitting at the table. I did ask for a physical written policy, which the manager expressed, "it's coming from me, I'm the manager and I don't need to show you a written policy". This is unacceptable and we have to accept the reality of there employees eating from outside at the store when grabbing...

I regularly visit this Starbucks and the staff are the best of any location I have ever been to. They all know me by name and always make it a point to ask how my day is going, go out of there way to brighten my day, go above and beyond with their service, and understand the value of impeccable customer relations. As soon as I pull up to order they say “good morning Blake!!! How are you? Would you like the usual today?” And every time it blows me away because there is consistently a line of cars out of the parking lot onto the highway. They stay insanely busy… but they always make it a point to remember me, remember what I get, and start my morning off great.
