Me and my family were looking forward to eating at this restaurant since someone recommended it to us at the beach. With 4 kids and a 1 year old, we were told that our wait time would be 20 minutes for an outside table and 50 for an inside. Now people with younger kids would understand that heat mixed with no air conditioning created chaos amongst everyone, but we were patient. When 20 minutes did pass, and multiple people who came in after us became seated in both inside and outside, we grew suspicious that they might have forgotten us. No biggie, why not ask right? Well with a rude answer back of “you’re a group of 12 not 10,” we decided to just sit it out and wait longer than anticipated. With two groups of 10 people walking in and getting seated with no reservations and whom came in only 2 minutes ago, we became aggravated. With us in the blazing Hot sun for almost 40 minutes with 5 poor kids wondering when we were able to be seated, we complained. The young blonde filled with attitude and eyerolls decided to go get her manager, and the both of them told us that we weren’t getting forgotten, and that lots and lots of people and big parties got seated after us were in tables of 10. Why couldn’t we squish in a 10 top? With a 1 year old and a 5 year old, there wouldn’t be a problem at all. The part that really got us over the edge was the fact that the hostess proceeded to tell us that she originally told us 45 minutes for an outside table. We asked multiple times and confirmed that it would be 20. Not only did this place lie to our faces, but they were incapable of attending their customers like actual human beings. 40 minutes out in the blazing hot sun with multiple kids and no regard for even asking us for a drink or to step inside really shocked me. This restaurant really needs to get a reality check, because with the attitude and rude remarks we endured throughout our seemingly long wait time is something that they should really fix. Very...
Read moreBEWARE: NO KIDS ALLOWED - We have been enjoying Captain Curts and Sniki Tiki as a family for the last 20 years. Last night we took our 5 and 7 year old to ST for dinner and some live music. At 5 minutes to 6:00PM we were told by our waitress that we needed to leave the property because our kids were under 21 years of age - keep in mind we were still eating and had just ordered more. We have taken our kids here several times and this has never been an issue/rule. She explained that it's a new rule due to underage drinking. I fully understand that, however, we have small children, not teenagers trying to pass for 21. This new rule isn't posted on their website. It's also not posted on their door or anywhere in the facility. We asked to speak with the manager to see if they could make an exception as our children would obviously not create an underage drinking issue. He was not understanding, accommodating, or apologetic. We were forced to finish our food quickly and pay out. Our 7 year old daughter was very upset as live music at Sniki Tiki is something she has done for years and has been looking forward to since last year. If you are a family looking to enjoy a meal at a normal dinner time on midnight pass, SNIKI TIKI is...
Read moreSad to say I once really enjoyed this place. On Thursday night a veteran bartender had the most unprofessional attitude I’ve ever experienced. She could’ve closed the conversation in a matter of minutes and the evening would’ve most likely gone fine. However she continued on expressing her anger with her colleagues and other guests. I’ll leave her name out but a 13 year veteran apparently.. Not the fact that one of the biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen shot across the bar I first thought it was a mouse. The negativity from the bartender and the idea that you can reuse plastic cups after people have drank out of them which are clearly made to be disposable they continue to wash them and reuse them. If you’re looking for a place to listen to some music that would be fine but I would stick with bottled alcohol and don’t eat the food this bartender was shaking the outside of her shirt near her breast area to patrons. Not sure why because there was not much there. And then the fact she took her finger down below her belt area and made what looked to be a swinging well you know what I’m talking about at the most disgusting unprofessional trailer park trash I’ve...
