Sioux Falls has a real bbq place again! Had the brisket and jalapeño cheddar cheese sausage. Picked the hardflip hashbrowns and mar mars green beans for sides. The sides were pure comfort food! Hashbrown cheesy casserole and green beans with baked crouton like bread with american cheese. Sides were just great, not too salty and just amazing and fresh tasting in every bite. Sausage was very good too, nice snap of the casing and very good meaty flavor with the taste of jalapeño but not much heat. Saving the best for last now I wanna talk about the brisket. The Brisket is probably the best in Sioux Falls right now in 2023. The bark on the outside let me know something good happened here in this process. AMAZING smoked flavors and juiciness that doesn’t even need sauce. Every bite of the meat and the bark was just bursting with slow cooked flavors. Highly recommend! Everyone was very friendly and I had great service with my to go order answering questions about the menu. Nice open airy seating areas too. I will definitely be back.

The food was ok. The service was fast for the food delivery part. You have to go up to the bar to order food and get your own water. The wait staff was quicky and friendly to take our empty trays.

I give the place props for some tasty food. Went for the 2025 Slamwich competition, and it was pretty tasty. My only complaint there, was the meat was a bit dry, but overall with the pretzel bun, it had a nice texture. I'm sure the other food is good as well, as the place smelled like some good ole' BBQ. The downside overall for me was the service set up. You walk up and pay at the counter, get a number and go sit down and wait for your food. They encourage tipping when you pay prior to even getting the food, and then you have to bus your own table(ish). I felt like it was going to Culvers or some other fast food place, that you order at the counter. I don't typically tip at those places, so it seemed a bit odd to me to do it here w/out even know how the service or food was going to be. Everything is self serve, including a BBQ station and to go boxes that you can grab if you can't eat your whole meal (which was filling). Overall, nice little place that has some good food!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing excellent service and delicious BBQ food at the Smoked Culture . From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They promptly welcomed us and showed us the available seating and where to find the menus and how to place an order. The staff was incredible, including the owner ensuring that we had everythingj we needed throughout the meal. He shared how the restaurant started and the history he had at this location. He was very personable and relatable. This made the experience even more . The food is simply outstanding. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Whether it was ribs, brisket, or pulled pork watching each dish come out looked delicious including my meal the Hash Smash burger came with kettle cooked chips and was a delight to savor. The burger was large and more then I could take down. It was full of flavor so I gave it my best shot!

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the attention to detail and the passion for BBQ that shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. From the perfectly smoked meats to the delectable sides and sauces, it’s clear that the chefs at Smoked Culture take pride in their craft.

Overall, I can’t recommend Smoked Culture enough for anyone craving top-notch BBQ and exceptional service. It’s definitely a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts and anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Come for the skateboard art - Stay for the BBQ! Ps the element grind rail at the bar was a nice touch..

Owner was very friendly. Didn't have any issues with me using the restroom before ordering. I had a lengthy road trip from Yankton to Sioux Falls to catch a flight so I really appreciate the empathy right there. Justified 5 stars for the service alone.

But on top of that the speed at which they bring out your food is astounding! Perfect place to recover after a very tedious road trip with unexpected construction, traffic jams, and weather related highway closures lol.

The atmosphere was nice too. They played Linkin Park and Green Day. Other artists who were big in the 90s. I wasn't alive for 80s music so 90s alt rock music is especially nostalgic for me!

Lastly the food. They gave me a GENEROUS amount of brisket with a great selection of sauces I mixed the mustard sauce with some of the Habanero garlic hot sauce to make my own spicy peppery mustard sauce and it was delicious The brisket wasn't super hot (temperature wise) but it was tender, juicy, and delicious. The crust got a bit leathery but I didn't mind the flavor and quantity justified the price Also got their Mexican style coleslaw which was amazing. I really liked they the even included coriander seeds and cilantro. Very tasty flavors that made me feel closer to home. The Mac & Cheese was a bit bland but between the spicy custom sauce I made for dipping my brisket into and the spicy coleslaw with raw jalapenos the plain cheesy noodles served their utility

Great place Is recommend it to everyone who finds themselves in Sioux Falls for...

I should have taken pictures. My two buddies and I had the pleasure of dining in on Saturday, October 10th. Service was excellent. We ordered the pork belly burnt ends and the loaded hash for appetizers, they were incredible. The burnt ends were fall apart tender and the Korean style bbq sauce on them was a wonderful changeup and the loaded hash (cheesy potatoes) were balanced really nicely between the richness of the cheese and the bit of tang from the sour cream, it honestly let the pulled pork on top shine.

I had the Frontside Brisket sandwich with the cornbread. Let's start with the cornbread. Sweet Christmas. I loved the bits of sweet corn in it, and the honey drizzle, and the bits of pan edge crispies. It was perfect. On to the main star. The brisket. It absolutely rivals any of the Texas brisket I've had. And I've had quite a bit. The bark was well developed, the brisket was tender, not mushy. It had a nice bite but then melted in your mouth. The meat was the star though, some places go overboard on seasoning and sauce, but this was really well balanced. I was a big fan of the gold bbq sauce and pickles on it, it really helped brighten up the richness of the brisket. 5/5. I'll be back with...
