Auntie Anne's — Restaurant in Smithfield

When you first walk into the place, it's very appealing and clean. Then the curtain, so to speak, is drawn back, and you get to see the underlying truth.

Customer Service is so boring, it's like we are an inconvenience to them. As they stand there and ask. What do you want.

I asked how much the hot dog bits were. Reply. It's up on the board. Well, then I decided on getting them anyway but soon discovered that the dough is raw on the inside and the hotdogs are room temperature at best. Maybe it was just that one, but after 3 raw dough bites, I put them down.

My husband got the sugared bites, and he said they were better than the burnt ones he got last time we went there. But that they were saturated in something so that the sugar that was poured over them would stick.

Fortunately for me, I was able to heat my hotdog bites up after I got back home. Now cooked and nolonger raw, I ate them. Fortunately for them, I didn't get ill, or I would have called the health department.

Neither I nor my husband will ever be going back to that place again.

The people running the place must not eat there cause if they did, they'd have not served me raw hotdog pretzel bites, or maybe they would cause it would mean losing money.

Then, when I said to my husband not to leave a tip, I got this look of disdain from the cashier.

My suggestion would be to avoid this place. There's a nice Expensive restaurant right next door that you can spend your hard...

Absolutely horrible customer service. 4 people behind the counter including the owner Jason. No one spoke when we came in. We stood at the counter for several minutes before any one even came up to the register and when they did the 3 staff stood there without saying anything. When I asked if they were ready they nodded. I placed the order, they handed me one cup of pretzel nuggets and not the other. When I inquired about the other nuggets they said it will be a few minutes, I shouldn't have had to ask... The owner never once acknowledged anyone or how the staff was not communicating with customers. The nuggets that we waited several minutes for were burned with black on the bottom. Honestly one of the worst customer service...

Today got there at 1245 and she'd what time they open they said 1 so about 10 after we got there and they still says they are not open and there was a crowd out there and we all left... The money they would have made from the brief could have paid the two girls salary for the day...smh...3 wks later we finally got some pretzels but then I asked for no salt and they said they are not allowed to do that, the manager always done that for us believe his name is Jason very nice guy to bad the employees are not the same and they have the worst customer service. Not hard to make some heck I would pay for them if they are afraid they won't sell...lazy employees just there...
