Considering all the standard American food restaraunts in Sonora it is great to have an authentic Thai place. It is a family owned and run business and you can tell. They are passionate about what they do. That does also mean they can be a little slow.

The curries are all good but they could use a little more spice. The proclivities of the local clientele calls for more mild food, but I want my red curry to have a good burn.

The papaya salad has great flavor and full size shrimp. Usually it's served with the tiny bay shrimp but this has a good helping of tender large shrimp. That being said, of you don't like a fishy salad this may not be for you.

The imitation (yes, fully vegetarian) duck is probably their best dish. You could fool an meat eater with this, but for the vegetarians, it does not taste too much like meat. If you're like me and can't stand Beyond or Impossible, this is a good choice.

The salmon special has great flavor but the chicken tends to be overcooked and there are more bell peppers than anything else. The same with chefs special #1. The chicken was overcooked and there were way too many corns.

There are usually only two workers, and one cook, so it is usually a long wait. I have been there twice now when their card machine does not work. This last time I had placed an order for pickup and had to wait for probably twenty minutes while they reset their system and they still couldn't figure it out, only accepting cash or zelle as payment. By the time I finally paid and got out of there my food was cold.

I would also recommend eating in the restaurant and not ordering to-go. Usually in restaurant you get enough to eat for a full meal AND a to-go box for leftovers. The leftovers alone are about the size of the entire to-go order. The peanut tofu had maybe 15 pieces of tofu and did not even fill the entire box.

If you want authentic Thai food, this is your best bet, but don't come expecting a fast meal. Also, it can be kind of cold inside so bring a jacket...

The place seemed understaffed to meet the Saturday night demand. It took some time for the waitstaff to take our order. A couple that was loud/rude got their food (same appetizer we ordered, different entrees) first even though we ordered before they did (when you're hungry that's the worst!!). The fresh rolls were good but skimpy on the sauce. The portion sizes were small and for a vegetarian dish it was very very tiny portion of hardly any veggies! Not a well portioned dinner priced entree and it tasted like just hot oil and chili spice (where was all the thai flavor?!). My husband's dish was an appropriately sized portion of protein on top of a tiny amount of slaw. He said it tasted fine. Presentation for everything but the fresh rolls was as harried as their service - rice tossed wanton on the plate, messy, sauce spilled. The gals were nice enough but I'm not sure we would want to come back unless it was a not-busy lunch time and we got something standard like curry. To mention: takeout orders seemed to have the best/fastest service even though they were quoting 30 minute wait. If we had called in our order when we first sat down we would have eaten much faster! The people were working hard but they might just need more people to get things out well and timely.

Update: came back with a friend to give it another chance. We both got ill. I will not...

Maybe it's me, but when I walk into a place and the person "greeting" me says,"we close early tonight, so you can stay if you can be done by then" (it was 6:30!) it kind of puts one off from the get-go. If I hadn't been cold and hungry w/ kids in tow, I would have left then. It was the night of the big snow storm and we'd been stuck in our car for three hours.I As it was, I said,"I can eat fast if you can cook fast". He asked if we'd like water and we all said yes, yet none came until I asked then we got one glass. I asked for tea for us and was brought three mugs(OK, I thought, no pot'o tea, no big deal). The food was pretty good, fresh and flavorful, but lacking any spiciness (guess they are trying to cook to the local "palate"). Whatever, it wasn't terrible food, I could live with it. The deal killer for me ( besides the utter lack of hospitality) and why I will never set foot in the place again, was the 2 Dollar per cup charge for fricking TEA .....OK i...

In an area dominated by burgers and fries, this was a welcome haven to people like me who need their Asian food fix! My husband and I stopped here two days in a row for lunch during our Yosemite trip and it always hit the spot. We tried the chicken satay, the Penang curry with brown rice, the Pad Woon Sen, Pad Kee Mow, the pepper pork (all medium spicy) - everything was flavorful and delicious. The staff were consistently polite and friendly, and the ambience was just right. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch during your Sonora stay!

I think i got some kind of chicken kra pow in a garlic sauce with brown rice. It was tasty. I tried the sticky rice with taro for dessert. The thai tea is always good. Last time I got the green curry and it was tasty also. I normally like pad kee mao but I'm used to the spicy brown sauce and their sauce was kinda reddish and not spicy at all so it was different. Overall I like the food there.
