Happen to be working in Sonora, CA for 3 days and 2 nights and right next door is the Bradford Place Inn. Hoping they weren't book, I approached the front door and Patrick, the innkeeper, opened the door. He said they had a vacancy and welcomed me in. He and Kim, his wife and co-innkeeper, are a delightful couple that had bought the bed and breakfast during the past couple years. They run a professional yet cordial B & B and earnestly want to get to know their guests. They both share in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility as well as the cooking responsibilities. Fantastic cooking, by the way, friendly interaction and lovely rooms abound. You really cannot find a better place to stay. ||Facilities-well kept and up to date.|Food- OMG. Try the Eggs Benedict-amazing.|Blueberry Crisp- to die for.|Breakfast skillet-everything was cooked just the way I like it.|Friendly- I happen to be staying there on my birthday and Kim and Patrick sang HBD and brought out a candle lit Blueberry Crisp to top off my breakfast. Easy going and easy to talk to.|Family-even though Patrick and Kim are the innkeepers, they have 2 sons who were around as well. Both were friendly and very well behaved. Obviously they instill old school family values into their kids. |And finally, the last F they get is for Favorite. It is easily my favorite go to place if I ever have to stay in Sonora. Their hospitality is, bar none, unsurpassed.||They also have tea, coffee, water, sodas, V-8 and cookies and baked goods available whenever you want.||They have historical stuff in the parlor and trinkets you can purchase as well as movies, DVDs, games, anything to keep you entertained if you happen to be ordered by the Governor to shelter in place during a Covid scare.|||I've stayed at much more expensive places before but The Bradford Place Inn beats them all! So glad I stopped in to see if they had any vacancies and...
Read moreMy wife and I had a lovely stay at a historic BnB in Sonora over the weekend. The Inn is conveniently located off the main street of old town Sonora, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops, and museums.||Our room was clean and cozy, and the air conditioning unit was remarkably quiet. The bed was also very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, which is always a plus.||Kim, the innkeeper, was a delight to interact with. She was hospitable and welcoming, and she provided us with great restaurant recommendations and suggestions on places to visit. Upon our arrival, Kim showed us our room and discussed breakfast choices for the following day. Being dairy and gluten-free, I can be challenging to cook for, but that wasn't a problem for Kim. Each morning, she prepared delicious gluten and dairy-free baked treats for us, along with a special breakfast dessert. It was a wonderful surprise and a great way to start our day's adventures.||Our trip to the Gold Country was thoroughly enjoyable, and our stay at the Bradford Place Inn was a significant part of it. We have added it to our go-to list for...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night and it was such a wonderful experience.
We were greeted by the new owners (who only took over last week) and they were so friendly and helpful! They let us know where all the complimentary snacks and drinks were, took our breakfast order for the next morning and pointed out some places in town that were worthy of checking out.
Our room for the night was gorgeous. We stayed in the Tioga room. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable too!
The real highlight was the breakfast the next morning. It was pure bliss, sitting in the morning sun out on the verandah. We ordered the creme brulee French toast and it was so, so, so delicious!! I highly recommend picking that option. We were also treated to "breakfast dessert" - a peach crumble. Again, very delicious. We were so full we could barely fit it all in.
Our hosts were very attentive and made sure we never ran out of coffee or orange juice.
All in all, if you're staying in Sonora you must put this place at the top of your list. You will...
