I recently had the misfortune of dining at Clementines, and I must say it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the management had no idea what they were doing. If you’re lucky, you’ll cross paths with TAMMY the manager, but we’ll save her for the end…. The entire restaurant was in disarray, with staff members running around like headless chickens.
Let's start with the service, or should I say lack thereof. It took an eternity just to be seated, and once we were finally seated, it took another eternity for someone to take our drink orders. The waitstaff seemed completely overwhelmed and disorganized, and it was evident that they had received little to no training. Empty plates piled up on our table, and our requests for simple things like water refills were completely ignored. It was a struggle just to get anyone's attention.
Now, let's move on to the food, or should I say the culinary catastrophe that was served to us. The menu boasted a variety of dishes, but the execution was abysmal. The appetizers arrived cold and tasteless, as if they had been sitting out for hours. The main courses were no better - overcooked, greasy, and lacking any discernible flavor. It was evident that the kitchen staff had no pride in their work and were just going through the motions.
But the worst part of it all was the complete lack of care from the management. Despite numerous complaints from various tables, they seemed indifferent and unconcerned. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them. They made no effort to rectify the situation or even apologize for the subpar experience. It was as if they didn't care whether we enjoyed our meal or not. Tammy continued to be the most rude and awful manager when this was brought to her attention.
In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering dining at clementines to steer clear. The management's incompetence, coupled with the terrible food, makes this place a disaster waiting to happen. Save yourself the disappointment and find another restaurant that actually values its customers and knows how to serve a...
Read moreUpdate, I thought I would give them a second chance and I ordered their ribs with a baked potato. I have to lower the stars. It shows that the ribs are smoked from the place outside of town. Then there was an article about their guy who did their ribs. Whenever I ate them, they were not smoked. They were drowned in barbecue sauce because they were old. I don't know how far ahead they had cooked these but they had to be a couple weeks old. Nasty, the worst ribs I've eaten. Then the baked potato was old too it was kind of slimy. I keep hearing what a great place it is but my food has been inedible. I was afraid to eat more than two bites of those ribs because you could tell from the taste that it was old. And the texture was old ribs too. Also, anyone who does ribs good knows that you don't drench them in barbecue sauce.
This is the first time I ate here. So I ordered an olive burger cooked medium. It was burnt on the outside and very pink on the inside. Medium Burgers have a little bit of pink in the middle and the only thing that wasn't pink was the outside which was black. The burger bun was soggy to where it was almost dripping, falling apart like fresh dough after I picked it up. Gag! My French fries were cold and then the honey mustard I got for a side was thick and slimy. If the french fries weren't cold, they would have been edible. So I spent $15 on a meal that wasn't edible here. I ate the pickles off of the burger which were good. The bartender who waited on me was very nice and the hostesses were very nice as well. But I will not be back.
And clearly the owners and managers don't really care. They don't respond to their reviews. That says a lot about a place. They don't care if their food is good or not. The tourism is what...
Read moreAllergy alert- do not try to eat here! Let me start with some important information. My family has several sets of food allergies and we understand that it can be difficult to accommodate us. That being said here's what happened - we were recommended this place to try, so we went. We always tell our server right away about our allergies. He said he'd check to see what they could do. After a while he comes back - explains that the kitchen manager said that they were unable and wouldn't serve us because of our needs. Most restaurants try to accommodate. Clementine's didn't even want the conversation of possibilities. We had heard so much about this place and really wanted to try to eat there. We were coming up with creative ways to get what we needed. The server, Brendan (I think), was trying to help us too. *Both my husband and I have years of food service experience and know ways to make it work without a ton of hassle. We could tell that our server was trying really hard to help. We even asked to talk with the manager (knowing he might be busy, but interested in keeping business - our so we thought). He never came out, but apparently decided that he could figure out how to accommodate us after 20+ minutes. Mind you it was almost 8pm. So minus the kitchen not wanting to be bothered with a more detailed order, the experience was alright. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and filling. The attitude of the kitchen manager was unprofessional at best. Maybe they were having a rough day. Who knows. All and all- table service is wonderful. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was...
