Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in South Jordan

I am really sick of the tiny burritos I get at this location. I have been eating chipotle for over 10 years and have never seen worse consistency in sizing. From what I can put together the manager of this location is trying to force people to make smaller serving sizes. I feel bad for the employees because they are probably getting hate for it (sometime I know I am very unhappy leaving and I’m sure it shows) but i personally think it is the manager of this specific location. You can see him watching over peoples shoulder and as soon as he walks over they start giving half sized everything. I just left and my wife’s burrito is literally two times the size of mine. The manager walked over right when the guy started making mine.

I am leaving my initial review in place, but giving an update here. My wife and I decided to go back and give it another try because we love chipotle. I’m not sure if they recognized us or not, but serving size was definitely fixed and we were interestingly given a discount. Maybe my review and the ones like it were taken very seriously or maybe it was a coincidence. Either way all around much improved and I believe credit is due when change is made! I hope...

I ordered ahead online because I was on a tight schedule, arrived on time and my order wasn't ready. The order was two pretty basic burritos.

After waiting about ten minutes one of the employees asked me which order I was waiting for. I told her my name and what time the order was scheduled for and she confidently stated they were working on it and it would be ready soon.

After another five minutes another employee came and asked my name. I told him and he said they were working on my order. Another five minutes goes by and a third employee comes out and asks if something was wrong with my order. I told her I never received it. She said "sorry, we're a little behind on orders."

This was a pretty obvious lie as several customers had come in after me and gotten their orders, both those that had ordered ahead and those who came in and ordered at the counter.

Finally, my order came out, 25 minutes after the scheduled time. I had to alter my plans for the evening. The employee who gave it to me mumbled something like "thanks for waiting." Mistakes happen, but there was no urgency or effort by the staff to make it right, which is really frustrating. I doubt...

Food at this location is good and most times it’s actually on the hotter side of warm (other locations I’ve visited it’s just room temperature). I haven’t had a bad experience with the staff here like some of the other reviews say. But, I have only used the drive thru once; I like to go inside and order my food because I find that you get more food in a bowl than ordering online lol

A couple of things: stay away from the sofritas. They are not good here but they are also not good anywhere either. The asada tends to run dry but still taste good and is OK most times. I usually order a chicken bowl (the new chicken al pastor is fire btw), but last time I got the barbacoa because everyone raves about it - it was a bit disappointing because it was extremely salty. I have no clue if they always make it this salty or if it was just an accident (sometimes that happens…)

The last thing that I want to say, and this is a big deal for me, is that they guacamole scoops are always always on point! I never feel like I’ve been cut short and the guacamole here is...
