I saw this place reviewed a few months ago and only just had the chance to try it. Utah has plenty of traditional Korean restaurants, KBBQ, and of course fast-casual like CupBop. Where this place really breaks the mold is with its fusion options. The restaurant has modern decor and some unique features. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was served quickly. We tried the pork belly buns, the Korean cheesesteak, and the junkyard fries. We also had the Tiger’s Blood, one of their specialty sodas. The soda was as good as any of the soda chains offer. The junkyard fries were just okay-maybe that’s due to my dislike of steak fries. They had thinner fries with the cheesesteak which were much better. The cheesesteak was great, and tasted exactly as fusion food should. It was a nice blend of American and Asian cuisines. The buns were excellent. I had pork belly bao buns a few years ago that were equally amazing and have been seeking to recreate that taste since. I finally found it! I didn’t try any of their authentic options but I can say this is the perfect option for someone who is tentative about diving into Asian cuisine. Prices were a bit higher than I’d like (pandemic, shortages, staffing woes all make this understandable) but we left with leftovers. We’ll be back!

Really enjoyed this restaurant and experience! For anyone paying with cards, you place your order on the tablets when you first walk in. Menu items can be modified to an extent as well. They call your order name and you go pick it up at the counter. Everything is prepared fresh, so the wait is a little longer than your average eatery. The flavors were on point though! I couldn't taste much of the Korean influence on the cheesesteaks, but they were so good. The mandu was also delicious. The deluxe bowls are quite large and are very much like bibimbap but with japchae added and fewer/different veggies. I wished I could have tasted more typical Korean flavors (gochu, sesame oils, ssamjang etc.) since Korean food is one of my favorites. Regardless, the food was delicious. It is on the pricy side, but food portions are a good size. However I'm unsure if they do free refills for drinks because you're not allowed to fill your own cup.** edit - as per the reply, soft drinks are refillable! Two Phillies, one fry, two drinks and mandu were $60 after tax and tip. Pls clean up after yourself when you're done, and put your dishes in the designated area!

This place is so yummy! I recommend their mandoo (they have veggie and meat and both are good but I prefer the veggie) and their Beef Bulgogi tacos! Both were so delicious! The only thing I've tried there that I didn't care for was the spicy pork tacos, but that's just personal preference. My husband liked it. The bowls are good too and have SO much food in them! You'll probably take home leftovers. The staff is all very friendly as well. The only thing about the location I don't like is the bar stools. If you're seated anywhere along the tall table in the middle of the room, you're sitting on the most uncomfortable bar stools in the world. I'm not that large, yet my butt feels fat because of how it hangs over the edges are f the hard stool. But if you're lucky enough to get a normal heigh table, you'll be more comfortable and less squished. But for the price and the amount of food you get, and the quality of the food, it's so worth it to deal with an uncomfortable bar stool! I keep going back!

Wish I could give this restaurant NO stars. So frustrated at my experience here. I was dining with a friend on Saturday night. We were waiting for our food when we noticed that a waiter was getting upset with a customer at the table next to us. They were a table of 4 with a baby in a car seat propped up on a chair next to the table. Apparently there was a mix up with the customer's food order, and the waiter got frustrated and was blaming the customer for the mix up. In the waiter's rage while walking away, he KNOCKED THE BABY'S CARSEAT ONTO THE FLOOR. Some members of the family screamed, and one of them got up to get the baby. The waiter did nothing to help and soon disappeared. The manager on shift came over and verbalyl apologized to the family, but neither the waiter nor the manager offered ANY type of compensation to the family to try to make up for this traumatic experience. I know this because my friend and I saw the waiter come out with the check and the family paid for their meal. There are so many things wrong with this situation: The waiter blamed the customer for the meal mix up. The waiter got upset and KNOCKED A BABY IN A CARSEAT TO THE GROUND. The waiter disappeared and didn't properly apologize or help make sure the baby was ok. No compensation was given for this awful experience. My friend and I are SHOCKED. Yes, you will read other reviews that say the food is great, but I would not give this restaurant another dime for how they showed little remorse in what could have been a very...

Why are more people not coming here?! Every time I come here the building isn't nearly as full as it should be. I've been to Angry Korean four times now and I have never been disappointed. This is bar none, the best Korean BBQ you can get in the south valley and possibly the entire valley. (You heard me right, Cup-Bop.) I've worked in the restaurant industry and I hope I've gained the tastebuds to know when something is made fresh and when something is shipped in. Every ingredient of every dish I have tried has come off as fresh and properly seasoned. Their rice bowls are as addicting as they are palatable. I'd recommend any of the spicy meat options for them but that's a personal taste. The sauces are all made in house and you can tell plenty of love went into these dishes. The food does almost 100% of the talking here. The interior of the building isn't anything to write home about. I think it's too cold and industrial for what they're serving but that isnt even a thought once the food comes out. Service is always friendly and attentive. They mainly offer RoHa brewing in can for their beer selection as well as canned wine. (But who is coming strictly for drinks?) Seriously, I hate to see this place so empty whenever I come in. (I partly blame the location being tucked away on The District main strip) Even if you dont feel like going out, give them a try via doordash or grubhub. I'd hate to see an awesome local place like this go to waste when this part of the valley is desperate for...

I used to eat work meals here frequently over a year ago and was excited to take my spouse for his first visit. I was quite surprised that not only did my favorite meal's base meal price increase by several dollars, but also how I had to add items (e.g. one egg for $2.99 or noodles for $1.99) when they used to be included at no extra charge. I am quite sympathetic to the current egg price issues, but that's quite a mark up. The meals had good flavor, though it just wasn't the same without the extra ingredients that used to be included.

Additionally, they will bring your food to you, but beyond that there is no one checking to see how it is or see if you'd like a refill (the soda machine is in the kitchen). My husband wanted to salt his fries but there were no salt and pepper shakers at the table; he had to get up and go find them as there were only two sets in the store. We were the only guests at the time we were there; this wasn't a busy time.

Signs advise you to bus your own tables; I'm happy to clean up after myself, but there is just one station to place used dishes where you can throw away garbage, stack your dishes, and put your glasses in the cup sorting rack for the dishwasher. The total cost of two meals and one soda was about $45. I was hopeful it would be the same great experience I had remembered from before, but this time I felt the food was overpriced and the service...
