Starbucks — Restaurant in Southington

This is my local Starbucks that I stop by almost every single morning. The early AM crew knows my order at this point and even do a good job remembering that I like the flat lid on my lattes. On 8/30 I had a latte incorrectly made (too many pumps of pumpkin, I always only get 1) and I was running late to work so couldn’t get back through the drive thru until the next day. I let the girl at the window know that I needed a latte re-made and was taken aback by her reply of “you need to make sure you call the store next time because this is how people get free drinks out of us”. Even if this is an ongoing issue for you as a store, I had my original beverage with me that was still full that I had brought back, and as someone who frequents this establishment often, I was very uncomfortable to then have her meet me at the window and tell me to “taste it right now so we know we made it correctly”. You made the drink incorrectly and now I’m the one who’s made to feel uncomfortable and awkward as if I’m doing something wrong by asking for a re-make and also told that if they ever mess up again I have to call ahead and inconvenience myself further? I work right next door at Denny’s so it’s a everyday must have. I love this Starbucks!!! I live out of town but will always go out of my way to get coffee here. They’re so positive and welcoming. I’ve yet to meet a cashier who showed any annoyance with taking my order. They’re always eager and so friendly. Really makes it welcoming and easy to try new things without the fear of annoying someone. Everything’s clean and their cup selections is always stocked up with multiple design to choose from. My favorite part is the perfect drinks. Every single time I come it taste exactly like the time before. Never excited and then let down because it’s consistent. I could brag about this place for hours honestly so just get down there already.

If only I had words to describe this work environment. I’ve worked at this location for almost 8 months and had to transfer immediately, not only because of the distance but also due to the fact certain employees felt it was ok to harass and make death threats. I’m extremely mortified that not only the district manager did absolutely nothing, but these employees didn’t get demoted or even fired. We have to take a 2 hour harassment course and clearly that meant nothing and still continues to mean nothing. I do not recommend working here, unless you want to feel excluded and looked down upon. I felt very unsafe and this was such a hostile work environment. Sorry to any customer who has had a bad experience with this location, but let me just say I completely validate and understand why you did. Bottom line is : Do not work here.
