Food is always amazing here but let me just say service today was terrible. You could obviously tell they were super busy , servers were running around juggling between tables. Me myself I only counted 3 servers all day. Those servers were set up for failure. I felt for them. We had to ask multiple times for things they forgot such as the sides that come with the main course. On top of that , had to ask for refills. Took 5 asks from our server and even other servers around and nobody did anything up till the last second when we were half way done eating. Then came bill time. We were over charged for coffee. Coffee over charge was 13.00 dollars alone. Okay not a big deal right ? We will just go talk to the host who takes the bill for us sense our server was so busy. We were a party of six , they automatically make you pay a 18 percent tip. With the way service was , we didn’t think a 18 percent tip was worth what the service was. The host on the day of Friday April 5th was the rudest person in the whole atmosphere. We approached to fix the situation and before I could even mention what was wrong with the bill she had the nastiest chip on her shoulder. At that point we just asked to speak to a manager because she was being totally unprofessional with the way she was shaking and bopping her head just being completely hostile. She proceeds to snatch the bill and went to “go get the manager”. She claimed that the manager was busy so she just took off the 18 percent tip instead of taking off the over charge that we were charged. As we are standing talking to this rude host our server sees the tension and comes up to talk to us. She apologized for our poor awful service and made things right where vs the host was making things worse. We told the server we wanted to speak to the manager and she told us they weren’t at the restaurant today. But the host told us he was busy? Not only did she lie but she was totally unprofessional. The server said she worked for the family beings this is a family owned business, obviously you can tell she doesn’t care about the business with the way she speaks to customers and how she handles situations. We loved this place but after our encounter with this host I’m sure we will not be back. I hope this reaches a manager sense there wasn’t one to...
Read moreWe decided to try this place after seeing it as we drive by after many shopping days at Walmart and Kohl's.
We arrived about 8:45 Saturday morning 9/18/21, came in to the entry and there were four ladies up front. We said "hello, good morning," and not a single lady looked at us or responded, pffft. Being there our first time, we didn't know if we needed to wait to be seated or just go on in.
Then one of them breezed by us holding menus and we followed. She led us to one spot that was right there next to the kitchen/service door, and we politely asked if we may sit by the nice big windows. She didn't say anything, but grabbed the menus back up off the table with an air that she was annoyed. There was probably no more than eight people in the front dining room.
Our orders came quickly and my husband enjoyed his pancake combo alright, and my French toast combo was good, flavors were delicious, but the bread of the French toast was very thin -- the crispy crust looked lovely, but it was very thin and soggy in the middle. The eggs were perfect, the bacon was so crispy and with a lovely smoked flavor.
The waitress had not returned to check up after seating us and taking our orders, seeing her again only when she brought us the check.
There were three or four restaurant staff hanging and casually chatting by the service/kitchen door, it was not busy, but my husband had wanted a water refill earlier during breakfast, and politely waited for her to come back and check on us, but she didn't, so he sipped out of mine.
This would have been Five Stars had the ladies up front been receptive (they are the face of the business, are they not?) of customers coming in, politeness and hospitality goes a long way in keeping customers coming back. We felt quite unwelcome upon entering and it kinda put a damper on our first breakfast there, especially when the waitress didn't come to check on us the entire mealtime. I see other reviews on this restaurant on other social media sites mentioning this, as well.
I dont have any photos as we left our...
Read moreThis place is an absolute disgrace. From the moment we sat down, our server was rude, impatient, and acted like she couldn’t care less about doing her job. But the real nightmare was what happened to the poor man sitting behind us—a single dad with his daughter. He went to the bathroom, came back, and found that the staff had completely cleared their table—food, drinks, everything—without a second thought.
Instead of offering any apology, our server casually said, “Let me see if they can remake that,” as if she was doing him a favor. When she returned, still unapologetic, she told him they could remake the food. The dad declined and just asked if he was allowed to leave, and honestly, I don’t blame him. The way they treated that man and his little girl was disgusting.
I called over the manager, hoping someone would step up and show a shred of accountability. Instead, he stood there with a blank stare, as if I was being unreasonable for calling out the terrible service. No apology. No solution. Just an attitude like they couldn’t care less.
I’ve given this place multiple chances because the food is decent, but after this? I’m done. The customer service here is consistently awful, and the way they treated that father and his daughter was beyond unacceptable. If management can’t be bothered to fix such blatant disrespect, this place doesn’t deserve...
