I honestly love Krispy Kreme, I used to enjoy it frequently when I lived in Seattle. I was so excited when I saw one opened in Reno. Decided to take advantage of the seasonal flavor, Strawberry Kreme Filled. Upon entering I asked if I could have said flavor. They said it would be a 30 minute wait before it would be ready. So me and my daughter got a drink to wait it out. After about 30 minutes we were served said donuts. We got in my car, and something told me to check before I left. I opened up the box and ripped one open and realized there was no Kreme in the Kreme-filled donut. So we walked ourselves back in and showed them it was not what we ordered. They rushed into the back and got six more. However I noticed the filling was not a Kreme, but more of a thin syrup, like it got injected with hot syrup instead of the kreme we expected. After almost an hour spent sitting and waiting, I just took them and left. The employees who spoke to me were cordial and pleasant, but I was put off by the unprofessional vibe, something I never experienced from other locations I've been at. Most employees seemed to just be hanging out, grabbing donuts off the line and snacking rather openly in front of customers. Read moreBeen a customer here since it opened at this location, but no more. Placed an online order three days early for the Grinchmas collection to pick up in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. After driving to the shop and told them I was there for my order, I was told they were out of these. Why take an online order if it will not be filled, and immediately charge my credit card. I opted for a refund and was informed it would take five days. Took them ten seconds to receive my money. UPDATE: It is now eight days later and there has been no refund. Will probably have to go in there to find out what their problem is. FINAL UPDATE: Yesterday marked ten days without a refund so I contacted the corporation as requested in their reply to this review. In just a few hours, there were two emails from them, then a phone call from the location manager. He was very apologetic and assured the refund would be processed. He explained that the workers never brought this to his attention, and they will be having a conversation. He also said to stop by for any dozen of my choice at no charge. Checked my credit card account this morning and the refund was there! I am very grateful for the quick response...
Read moreIncredibly rude staff. Came in to pick up an order made the day before and they did not have my order ready and claimed that they never received it. I showed them order confirmation and that it had been paid already. She looked it awhile and then asked are you sure it's Krispy kreme... when the order confirmation says Krispy kreme..... she then disappeared from the window for several minutes without updating me that they did find the order and not to worrh. She is getting an order ready, hands me a fresh donut and said she figured it out, the order didn't print probably because the order had been updated. Which i reponded that it had not been updated or changed by us, so not sure what you are referring to, she handed me the order and said okay well here's your order and closed the window on my face.
I was doing a friend a favor, they had called to confirm the donuts would be ready, was told they arrive at 3 and it will definitely be ready by 315 for pick up. I know for sure I won't be back for Krispy Kreme. Better donuts all over the valley with staff that don't push their mistakes onto the customer and are then rude to the customer for not accepting excuses that...
