Went to Popeye's at Legends after coming out of the movie. Went into the drive through and waited...and waited...and waited just to get to the signboard/microphone! Hubby ordered exactly what son was telling him - 3 piece combo, mild, dark, mashed potatoes and Dr. Pepper. Kid apparently stopped listening after 3 piece combo, because hubby had to repeat the rest. Hubby then moves to my order: 2 piece combo, mild, dark, green beans (both stores in our area have done away with the corn on the cob), meal only. Again, he has to repeat himself. Finally gets to his own order and orders a 5 piece blackened tender meal with green beans. You guessed it, he had to repeat the order! I took us another 10 minutes to reach the window. Hubby paid for our meal, and the kid hands us a drink and tells us he has no idea what it is. Isn't the bubble on the lid marked? No, but luckily it's what we ordered. Sit there for another 7 minutes (yes, I was timing the whole experience) before the kid comes back and tells us that he needed us to pull around to the front because they JUST STARTED the chicken tenders!!! Wow. They should have been put in the moment they were ordered, since it took us 10 minutes to get to the window from ordering. By the time we received our order, we'd been waiting a total of 41 minutes, from order to delivery! When we got home, Hubby didn't get any dipping sauce, nor was he asked what he wanted at any time during the transaction! Not only that, but I found that my chicken was spicy, not mild. The only part of my dinner that I could eat was the biscuit! Even the green beans were spicy! Good thing I had leftover Chinese food! No, we won't be back again! The new Chick-fil-A across the driveway has 1000 times better customer service, and they have better food! If Luther Mack still owns this store, he'd better get on their tails to improve before they have to shut the doors...
Read moreIn my present situation I'm unable to cook my meals so I'm relying on what's out there. I've been to Popeye's maybe twice that I remember and that was years ago while living in Florida. With that said I walked into this location to a very impatient crew who clearly had a problem with me trying to decide what I wanted to eat. There was no line behind me or I would have kindly stepped aside and let some one else go ahead while I try to make sense of the different combinations on the menu. The cashier should not be working in a public job, with every choice or every question I asked there was slight impatience leaning towards sarcasm. The meal I decided on did not come with a drink. I thought it came with, they would just hand you a cup. When the meal came I asked about the cup and was told the cashier rang me up for a meal that did not include a drink, not sure if that's common....not even with water???....anyways, this lady says, "Here", hands me a cup as if to say take the cup and get out of my face. If I wasn't so hungry I would have demanded my money back. The 3 piece chicken I got was mild alright....it wasn't hot, just warm in temperature.....just grease and no spice. It came with a biscuit and a small rice and beans bowl. The chicken pieces were tiny. The biscuit was the best part of the meal and it wasn't even that great. You got my $7 this time. I will make doggone sure you won't get it again. I'm not sure if I was the wrong customer or if they don't like people coming in their restaurant but I promise you I won't be back to ever...

The person taking my order asked what drink I would like to have. I answered by saying I don't need a drink. His reply was, OK so you're getting a dinner? My reply back was, I don't know because the menu board only reads as combos. When I got up to the window to pay for it, I also got a lecture on how I should have announced some code from the coupon I have at the speaker. If there was any kind of a sign indicating what to do with coupons, I would've followed that. They didn't ask me if I wanted the regular recipe or spicy. When I got to my destination, I found out they gave me the spicy version which is too spicy for me to eat. They also didn't ask what dipping sauce I would like and decided themselves on what sauce to put in the bag which is BoldBQ. That I did catch before leaving the parking lot so I went inside and asked for the sauce that I prefer. Over time, I visit Popeyes less and less. It seems that the quality of the food has gone down noticeably. Sometimes it is very overcooked and dried out. And with this last visit, the portions seem to be noticeably smaller. I usually don't take the time to make comments unless it's after an unusually frustrating visit. I just wanted to let the public know how my experience went since I'm almost positive that I will not get any feedback...
