Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Sparks

Our first two experiences were about a month after they opened and we ate in the dining area. Food (delicious/fresh), service (polite/correct, but understandably a little slow) and atmosphere were great. However, they blew the next 4 chances they had over a 4-5 month period of time. We went through the drive through on these occasions. Orders were not correct with details. When I tried to bring this to their attention a few times, it was met with short or unapologetic behavior. For example, in November we ordered one brownie jar with an order for about three people. I told them the brownie jar was missing. First they argued, then they took the bag back and told me it WAS there. I went through the bag and discovered a wrapped brownie tucked away at the bottom, pulled it out and said, "We asked for a brownie jar." They replied, "You ASKED for a brownie. Would you like to buy a brownie jar now?" ?? Our last visit in January will be our last. Food was incorrect and not good. Listening skills at the drive through is either compromised by input or prep in the kitchen. I asked for two, 5 piece chicken tenders meals with barbecue sauce, requested our drinks (all they had was ice tea and lemonade because all the fountain drinks were down). I also ordered a Cayenne ranch chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce instead of cayenne ranch. Mac and cheese (plain). I had to repeat what I said on different things a few times. When I was done ordering they asked what kind of sauce we wanted, again. I repeated barbeque. When we got home, chicken fingers had a weird, clear gelatinized fat under the fried areas on several pieces. Fries were under cooked or not freshly made. They included barbeque sauce alright. My sandwich was grilled chicken (not tender and not battered) with limp lettuce, a very small tomato slice and BARBECUE sauce on it! The Mac and cheese top layer was gross, old and all mixed in. Besides our lemonade, everything else went in the trash. It's too bad, because I really liked them when they first got started....

0 STARS! TRASH SERVICE! Every time we come here and order they get it wrong and we have to have it remade every single time!

This time was the worst experience so far!

We order through the drive thru and ask for a slims wrap with NO SAUCE in the wrap and add tomato & mango habanero sauce on the side.

They repeat it back to us slims wrap no sauce add tomato and mango habanero on the side.

We received our food and of course you guessed it, it has ranch inside because they can’t read or follow instructions!

So we already drove away from the window and parked in the front to have them redo it.

I bring it to the counter and tell them that we wanted no sauce in the wrap.

They then bring me a new one with mango habanero sauce inside like bruh what are you doing?

I have them remake it AGAIN with no sauce and I hand her the receipt and she says oh we don’t need that. (Yes you do trust me)

Of course not because they don’t read the instructions. The next wrap was almost perfect except now they forgot to add tomato.

Keep in mind on the receipt it says add tomato no sauce and on the SIDE MANGO HABANERO SAUCE the little piece of paper with instructions on what’s in the wrap. Like the thing you’re supposed to read before making the food.

At this point I ask the shift leader (ADI was her name) why is it that every time I come here you guys mess up the order?

She gave me some B.S Answer about oh we can’t hear good sometimes on the speaker and I said then why did they repeat the order back to me correctly?

She then had the Audacity to say “then just don’t come back if we keep messing it up.”

Ok ADI we won’t ever come back but you shouldn’t be a shift leader sweetheart if you don’t know how to act/respond when a customer is pissed off that you can’t do your job correctly!

4 times I had to come in because your employees and yourself (ADI) don’t know how to listen, read or follow instructions!

Completely unacceptable behavior by this establishment and you ALL NEED TO BE...

I recently went to Slim Chickens to try their food out since it was a new place and I’m so happy I did cause this place has good food, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere and lots of places to sit inside and outside!

Food: The food was delicious, I ordered the Slim’s Meal which includes 5 chicken tenders, two Texas toast’s, a choice of two dipping sauces, and a medium drink. The chicken was great, the fries were good, and the toast was delicious. Sauces: I got 3 different sauces Ranch, Buffalo, and their signature Slim Sauce and All the sauces are home style. I liked the ranch since I am a huge ranch person, and I really like spicy stuff so I also got the buffalo sauce and it had a little spice to it and was also watery but it had a great flavor. The Slim sauce was a little disappointing to me because it had a weird taste to it and Didn’t really like it that much. I also had the strawberry cheesecake jar dessert which was amazing! It has cut up strawberries and cheesecake bites with cream, the dessert was a homerun to me I love the taste and flair of both the strawberry and the cheesecake and the cream was the best part of it, definitely a must to try when your their! all in all the food was delicious 😋

Service: Staff was very friendly and fast, we got our food quickly despite being so busy 🙂

Atmosphere: The atmosphere was nice, nothing too crazy just a nice relaxing place that offers booths and tables with chairs, and I think their logo is pretty cool as well 😊
