I have gone to this Sonic for 12+ years and never EVER have I been treated this poorly. I drove in to one of the stalls, pushed the button, and ordered my food like normal. Not long after I was asked for my order and I did just that. It was a larger order, just shy of $40 ranging from burgers, dogs, sides, drinks and ice cream. I chose the "keep the change" option as a tip (we'll come back to this). During the transaction I noticed one the items was wrong, a foot long coney dog instead ofnthe 6 inch, and I corrected them, no big deal. (was this misconstrued as rude? We'll come back to this too.) I pay for the order, a normal amount of time passes, and our food comes out. I am handed the food and I go to grab the receipt and... It gets crumpled up before I'm asked if I want it... Okay, strange, but not the end of the world? (Didn't want me to leave a survey?) I thank the lady and we go to eat. We dig through the bag and realize there are no condiments. Specifically, no mustard for the corn dog, and no ranch for the pickle fries. No big deal. So I press the button and... The message saying that someone will be with me is gone. I think nothing of it, figure I didn't push the button hard enough, so I press it again. The message stays this time, so I start eating my food. At this point, my girlfriend notices that she got a "double cheeseburger" with a single patty. Okay. No big deal, I'll make sure to let them know that too when they answer. And then... Nothing. No answer. Okay, maybe they're busy? It's frustrating, but I can be understanding. But then, the notification goes away that says someone will be with me. Now I'm frustrated and feeling intentionally ignored. Fine. Let me press the button again. So I do, I make sure the notification comes up and... I wait. And I wait... And I wait. I've finished my food except the pickle fries, my girlfriend has finished her food except the corn dog. After an anguishingly long time, and my frustration reaching a boiling point, the notification goes away. Again. Now I'm actually mad. I figure at this point, I'll just use the condiments at home and eat soggy cold fried food and we'll just accept the fact that we got the wrong burger. At this moment, someone in a car two stalls down says, "Is anyone waiting on you?" To which I reply, "Nope. Not at all." Almost IMMEDIATELY someone gets on the intercom unprompted and asks what they can do for me. I begin to reply, "Well, it's a little late now but-" the screen flashes away from the order section, and intercom cuts out, and then the lady in the other car begins to get service. I'm done at this point and I leave. When we get home, we unwrap the corn dog and it is the gnarliest, most disgusting looking corn dog just adding insult to injury.
So here's the thing... Was my correction or conduct during the order rude in any way? I can't imagine it was. Not intentionally at the least. So hopefully that wasn't the reason I was mistreated. Is it because I chose "keep the change" as the tip option? If this is the case, then Sonic management needs to pay their employees way more if their employees are choosing to actively harm and punish their customers for small or no tips. If they ignored me because they were busy, then the same applies. Pay your employees better so you aren't short staffed and able to provide better service to your customers.
I will not return to this Sonic and will either avoid their food in the future, or will choose the franchise in South Reno despite being on the opposite side of town from...
Read moreIm a DoorDasher that likes to work in the Sun Valley zone, specifically because it extends out into Spanish Springs. So i get sent to this Sonic fairly often. It's a bit unfortunate to even have to mention this, because it's not like it's very EASY to see when a food courier is parked alongside the building in the designated spots; however, i feel like there should be a camera or something that shows when we are pulling up and parking there. But it doesn't just stop at the employees taking a pretty long while to notice us there... because sadly, I've been left completely unattended multiple times, and sometimes by MULTIPLE EMPLOYEES (3 different employees, 5 separate order runs. So far that is the most in one Dash) as they came out to bring other customers their orders, they literally IGNORED my entire existence on their way back inside!! Not so much as a SMILE in my direction, much less a "Have you been helped yet?" Or a "Someone will be with you soon!" Other times, couriers are just left to sit out in their cars, simply waiting to be noticed by someone inside at all! But when the day came for those 3 employees to ignore me, you could say that i made up my own Cheat Code for getting IMMEDIATE assistance from the employees as soon as i arrived. I had been parked in the first mobile order courier spot for over 20 minutes patiently waiting for someone to assist me, watching the 3 employees walk back and forth, right by my window over and over and over again... that's when i got SERIOUSLY irritated and decided to MAKE my presence and need for assistance known! My first thought before doing it, was: "i hope i don't get btched out for this!". So i got out of my car and walked to the glass door leading inside, poked my head inside, and said "KNOCK KNOCK? Hi I'm he to pick up a doordash order for ** and ive been waiting out in the parking lot for almost 25 minutes already! Several employees with several food orders have been delivered to other cars near me, but nobody has even bothered to look my way much less help me!" Everyone inside on the food line was very polite and apologetic, the three younger food runners just kinda stood there looking embarrassed. Then, no sooner had i sat down inside my car and started to shut the door, did one of the line cooks come running out of the little glass door and to my window with bags and drink carrier in hand! Ever since that day, I've been doing that every single time right from the moment i park in the designated courier parking spot. I recommend other Dashers also pick up this new little Cheat of mine! Especially if you've been experiencing the same (or similar) experience at the Sonic drive in locations as i have! And ALSO!! make sure you have ALL of your items! Because about 7 out of 10 times, they've forgotten AT LEAST ONE drink or more...
Read moreI used to love Sonic or maybe itâs this location just being so trash. Line is always forever the app is good for deals but not here itâs always an issue. I hardly come here but it doesnât matter if itâs drive thru or app expect to be here 30 min plus. These little complaints arenât the main reason for this review. Itâs the employees here that are rude inconsiderate and truly donât care about the customers. My last experience was just horrible I had a mobile app order. I pulled into the stall placed # screen said food would be coming. After about 15 mins waiting and no one in the drive thru I pull up to the drive thru in which I waited at the window for about another 5 before I was rudely greeted by the so called one in charge. I ask about the order and get the long run down of how bad her day is, that she is there with nothing but minors, and the kitchen is closed. I ask about the refund she smirks and says not my problem call in to the sonic # or your bank for that but we are closed. This is before 2PM on a Saturday by the way. The funniest part is as Iâm sitting there on the phone in the same spot working on my refund she has the nerve to come back to the window and demand I move like for what. You ainât doing orders cause the kitchen closed and obviously wasnât doing drinks either because she didnât even offer me mine which was the least she couldâve done. With terrible people like this in charge the worst customer service you will get in your life. Its not like I started off rude I was being nice until the disrespect just kept coming. Anyway save your $ or drive to any other sonic maybe itâs better idk but Iâm done here the experience has just gotten worse and worse everytime just pathetic customer service. This was way to much headache for a less than 7$ purchase and yes I got my refund no thanks to anyone who...
