The worst restaurant experience of my life!! Went to eat breakfast and ended up having the police called on my friend and me. I do not understand how this place has more than 2 stars (being generous). If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I came with my friend who lives out of town. She wanted to eat at a restaurant native to the city and we decided to eat here. When we arrived they were pretty busy, which is expected on a late Sunday morning. We sat in Jennifer's (Jenni) section and ordered our food to eat there, as well as a to go order. Jenni let us know it would be a 25 minute wait on our food and that my to go order would be at the register when we were ready. 25 minutes turned into over an hour of waiting. We started to notice that about 4 or 5 tables that came in after us were being served before us. Jenni never came by the table and provided an update or anything for the new wait time. I also saw a to go order placed on the counter, by the register, that was made about 25 minutes after we ordered that turned out to be my to go meal. Once we got our food, our home fries were cold and bland, my bacon was super greasy (turns out they take cooked bacon and throw it in the fryer to reheat), and my eggs were extremely hard. We asked to speak with the manager about the experience to see if there was anything that could have been done about the experience. She never told us her name but she was a lady with a walker. She told us that she could not comp nor discount the food, it was up to the owner. We asked to speak with the owner. She informed us it was Sunday and he does not answer the phone on Sundays. We could leave a comment on the comment cards and that was it. Since we ate the food, we had to pay for it (I did not eat my food). We continued to try to have a conversation with the manager. She no longer wanted to have the conversation and decided to call the police. Not once did she offer an apology or any form of empathy for our experience. I would not recommend anyone to eat at this establishment. The manager even suggested other establishments we could have visited such as Eggs Up Grill, The Skillet, McDonald's or Hardee's. Please take the manager's advice and visit one of these establishments instead. Side note but actually big note: Bc my friend wanted to hold her accountable she had an employee...
Read moreWent in at 915 pm Thursday 1-30 -20 . Daughter had heard about this place from friends and wanted to see if they were right. Teenagers. So no it was NOT good . We walked in and we're told the left side of the restraunt was closed . And to find a seat on the right side . Ok sat down at the first semi-clean table it had water on the table and the other side was sticky. We were told the menus were on the table , they were stuck together with what I prayed was syrup. But who knows. Our waitress was nice when she came around and hurried us for our order since she was apparently getting off in an hour . We ordered our food wire had a salad and pancakes with blueberry's on them, daughter got the omelette with toast which they forgot about. My order was the cheese steak (the original cheese steak) well the only original part of this sandwich was the name. There was no seasoning on the and it wasn't even chopped up and mixed with the cheese it looked like a screwed up steakum's sandwich with melted cheese on top I would have taken it home to.y dog but my wife reminded me i'd go to jat for animal cruelty. It is a convient late nite diner and is only one that is 24/7 other than Christmas . For more than 30 miles if you don't want WAFFLE HOUSE.. I could have eaten better at waffle House and saved money . And as for the service. We ordered 2 coffees to drink one was served in a dirty cup and the other one I had trouble getting refilled due to the fact our waitress was sitting down with a man she either knew or wanted to know very badly but did let me know when the check was dropped off I had to pay at the counter and the tip could be left on the table . I didn't see any reason to tip but my wife said she liked her pancakes so I left $3.00 on a $40.00 tab so no I didn't leave a tip and as we were leaving they put up a sign that says any one dining there from10 pm to 6 am would be billed a mandatory 15% tip for all parties of two or more. Well so much for nice evening out with your significant other you now have to factor in a tip for what could very well be the worst service of the night skip the midnight kiss and get a fist bump instead. Not what I would recommend and I will...
Read moreWould never come here again. Gross, expensive, and the server almost burned my face with coffee (not an accident either). My husband and I came to this place because we had heard good things. Walking in you have to navigate yourself to your own seat (the first thing I noticed was one of the 2 available booths were still dirty). Being hopeful thinking it was kinda like a nicer Waffle House I was excited to order my food and eat a good breakfast. The server came up getting all in my personal space and hurried us to get our order about 2 minutes after we had sat down. I didn’t know my order at the time but felt so rushed I just said blue berry Belgian Waffle and eggs with sausage. So we waited about 15-20 minutes for our food and while we were waiting the server came to refill my coffee. I didn’t see her bc I was looking the other way. I had been leaning down kinda close to my coffee cup and had one hand on it. SHE STARTED POURING COFFEE 1 INCH FROM MY FACE! I felt the heat from it and jumped because it scared me! I’m not one to exaggerate or freak out even when my servers make mistake bc we all do but I was SO MAD! That’s extremely dangerous and it was very hot coffee. It’s a McDonald’s type lawsuit waiting to happen. Again, I’m not one to leave bad reviews or be hyper critical but that is just negligent. On top of that event the food was terrible AND expensive. For 1 soggy Belgian Waffle, 1 circle of cold/gross sausage, less than a handful of scrambled eggs was $12.50!! My husband got pancakes, eggs, and bacon (the bacon was so gross he didn’t dare touch it) and his was $11.50!!! It was insane!!! We will not be going back. They also only take cash. So we had to go to the ATM. I will be going to Waffle...
