Horrible to staff! I'm posting in response to an experience my child had while working at this location. Prior to being hired, she absolutely loved Cocobowlz. She even introduced her family to Cocobowlz, and we fell in love with it, too. Needless to say, when she was hired, we were all very happy and excited for her. However, after the way she was treated as a staff member, our opinion has changed. The person who was supposed to work with her called in during her shift on a Sunday, and she had to work by herself. It was a very busy day (the day before the solar eclipse), and she was overwhelmed with the amount of customers she needed to serve. She was still very new to the job, and she was not ready to be left alone. My bone to pick with management is that SHE CALLED FOR HELP quickly, and neither the owner or supervisor sent anyone to help her! In a situation like that, I feel like one of them should have came in! Being the stoic that she is, my daughter tried her best, and continued to work the shift alone. At the end of the shift, she called me in a completely traumatized emotional state. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to intervene. If I had known she was in that predicament, I would have immediately came and picked her up, and there would have not been anyone there to work for the rest of the day. To make matters worse, she was scolded for not doing a good job. What did they expect? If you're thinking about working there, think twice. Everything may be great, until scheduling goes wrong, and you realize management provides no support in...
Read moreIm not even mad just disappointed fr. Me and my boyfriend decided to get smoothies after a walk, and we wanted to try something new since we usually get Tropical Smoothie Cafe. The Cocobowlz website advertised smoothies with coconut water, which interested us since we wanted to replenish our electrolytes and coconut water is a good, natural way to do that. I put the order in online and decided to leave a dollar tip. I think im about done with tipping before I even receive the service because tell me why when we got there it was empty inside and the smoothies weren't even made. And then while we're waiting for the lone worker to make them, he tells us they dont even have coconut water, just almond milk. It didn't need to be a big deal so we just said whatever and got the smoothies with almond milk. As for the smoothies themself, they were just OK. They tasted like smoothies I can make at home with frozen strawberry tops and unripe banana. They were fine, just not almost-20-bucks-for-two-of-them fine. I know someone's reading this thinking "then next time just make your own at home" and my response to that is nah... ill just go to Tropical...
Read moreI feel the need to leave a review based on our experience during the time my child worked here and a few of his colleagues. The issues started to arise when my son would out of nowhere and without notification from his direct management some of his shifts would be given to other employees. My son had to seek other opportunities and get another part time job due to the reduced hours to which Landon was made aware of my son’s availability changing. There were times where Landon would demand that my son come in last minute or schedule him knowing he had other arrangements. So instead of Landon or “whom ever are the owners of this establishment” never had a direct conversation with my son and proceeded to block him from the work group chat and fired him and had to find out by his friends which is a shame and those are not qualities management or an owner should embody. We have reach out to Landon and Danny to give us insight as to when my son would get his W2 and neither one has had the decency to respond and other ex colleagues also have not received it as well. Clearly there’s no organization in this establishment. Please steer away from...
