Underwhelmed is my reaction.
Maybe it was just a rough evening, but for this evening they didn't seem very organized.
Nice enough people. Just have some skills to hone --- and for the price point -- one should expect more.
It started as we entered. We were told : the manager will be out shortly to seat you. There were nine people in there --- what could he possibly been doing?! It was dinner time.
We split a meal (salad and salmon). The salad was of good size and delicious. The salmon was also very large --- but the reduction it came in overpowered it. The potatoes that we got with this were just simply there. Probably should have gone with the broccoli.
...part of me --- going off of experience --- was asking: "why didn't they plate this separately?". Isn't that something that is automatically done on a split meal?!
While to be fair --- the waiter did ask (after delivering the plate) if we wanted a second plate --- but for me --- as presentation matters --- it was too late.
After we were seated and before food was delivered --- there was not that big of a crowd (maybe 12-15) --- but with poor acoustics --- it was loud. By the time we finished --- a large rambunctious party had arrived --- and the noise level was interolable. So much so that an older couple sitting near the back got up and relocated to the outdoor seating. We were finished --- so our exodus was timely.
To me --- first impressions matter in the food industry. The shelving behind the bar looks like it came from Dollar General. The prints on the wall were a hodge-podge. Most looked like they were of Parisian scenes. I guess there weren't Italian scenes available. ...and finally --- acoustics are crucial!
We may give it another try --- but it will be awhile...
Read moreOk so, we had no reservation, not a ton of money and no idea this place was so fancy. We did have to wait about 25 minutes for a table, and ended up getting done right before close but we never felt rushed and enjoyed our time! It was absolutely amazing! The teamwork of the staff was on point for a busy holiday (Valentine’s) the food was a good quality, a good portion and felt very much worth the price,($20-30 plates) and they were so good to us i wish we could have afforded more of a tip! Every waiter and waitress that went by made sure we were okay, our waitress came back every few minutes and was super nice! We each had only water and i think it was way better than soda would have been, I'm just sorry we couldn't try any wine. The bread we had while waiting was good, I had the chicken parm ($26)with penne, and my bf had chicken Alfredo($19), our respective favorites and it was amazong, we like to try new places and was the best yet! I ordered a dessert, Bombone?($9) A donut with hazelnut and chocolate drizzle, warm and not too sweet, everything was so delicious! They had a rose for each table to take home and specials for the holiday, we just stuck to our favorites. I highly recommend this place for any date night, or anyone looking for authentic Italian food and experience. We plan to go back in a few weeks to try more, it's a little bit more expensive but it genuinely felt worth it and i grew up and still live with less than great income so that's saying something! Im just not happy my phone couldn't take better photos im sorry guys! But it was wonderful they made my Valentine’s a really special night. Thank...
Read moreMy food was good and I would definitely go back again! If I could give them a 4.5 I would because everything overall was pretty good, but that being said I feel like I didn't get as good of service as others around me. I was by myself and sat at the bar. I was greeted promptly and my drink order was taken. I wanted to get an appetizer and have some time to think about what I wanted for my dinner, but it was a Friday and they only let you put your whole order in at once, this was fine just something I had never heard of before. After a short time another lady sat down next to me and happened to order the same appetizer that I did. As pictured below I got the caprese which is a little light on the balsamic glaze. Whenever the lady sitting next to me got hers she was offered fresh pepper and extra glaze, by this point I was done with mine so it wasn't worth brining up. Then I got my pasta which was delicious! The lady next to me got her pasta and she was offered parmesan and pepper flakes which again I was not. It wasn't that my service was bad overall, it...
