We arrived on a Monday morning, were seated and given menus. We ordered 2 kids waffles, an Avocado toast and a Sausage egg cheese biscuit. Also got a side of sausage gravy. The weird thing is that they don’t have real sausage, only chicken sausage. But whatever. Food came out quickly. The waffles were slightly undercooked. Nothing spectacular. Kinda plain. The biscuit sandwich was awful. Super dry biscuit that just had absolutely no flavor and fell apart as soon as you touched it. The sausage was dry as a bone, and the unmelted Kraft single slice thrown in was just lazy and unappetizing. The side of potato had no flavor, was super dry and likely sat pre-cooked in the hot light for a while. The sausage gravy was okay. The avocado toast was a joke (see picture). It looked like they had wiped on the avocado and then scraped it off. The layer was SO THIN, that you could see the texture of the bread. It’s as if they spread it on and used a scraper to scrape it off. Terrible. Overall the food was bland and cheaply made but at a premium price. What was mentioned above plus a juice and two REALLY BAD (tasted like instant espresso) lattes $60 First visit and last visit. Hardee's biscuit sandwich is better for 1/3 the cost.

Went here on opening day. Definitely one of the best opening day experiences we've had. We could tell that a lot of effort went in to preparation. I ordered the Hangover Hash with over-easy eggs and a side of collard greens. The food was great, but I do have 3 minor dings that change 5 stars to 4: The collards, while a good flavor and a good spice level were a tad salty (though not inedible) and while not dry, could have been improved with a little juice in the bowl. The hash was excellent, but seemed to have a bit too many potatoes. Once all of the "goody" on top was gone, I was left with just a big plate of potatoes. My wife had the smoked salmon scrambled eggs and had zero complaints. The biscuits were good, but not outstanding. We will definitely be back. Update 8/31/25: Came back for brunch and it was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits, my wife had the pancakes, and my daughter had the Piedmont omelet. All were delicious. Our server Symir was amazing.

We visited The Flying Biscuit last Saturday. It was a nice day and we were hoping to sit outside and have a nice breakfast. We did get seated outside, but it was not a very good experience at all. It was 10am and they had already filled all the inside and outside tables well beyond the capacity of the kitchen or the waitstaff. As you would imagine, everything took a very long time. For instance we asked for two coffees and after waiting 15 minutes for the coffees I went in to ask the hostess if she could alert our waitress. I was told that the waitress was very busy with inside tables but she would mention it to her. The coffees came a few minutes later. The food came out and both egg dishes were stone cold, like they have been sitting out for 10 or 15 minutes waiting to be delivered. We told the person who delivered the food as such and they said they would take it back to the kitchen to be fixed. What came back was the same two dishes (already cut into) microwaved to luke-warm. The check took forever as well and I tried to speed up the process by bringing in the check to the bar to pay... I was told they could not do that and that I needed to wait for my waitress. I asked the hostess if I could speak to the manager but the hostess could not find the manager and sent word to the kitchen. I waited a bit but the manager never came out. The hostess noticed this and said here are some business cards, maybe I could contact the manager later. I guess the moral of the story is that if the restaurant is busy and have overfilled their table capacity you are in for pretty poor service. Everyone will repeatedly apologize for all the errors and inconveniences, but unfortunately that does save the...

I want to love this place. I have been twice now and ordered the Chicken biscuit and gravy both times. The first time the only thing that was hot for the home fried potatoes, which were delicious. The rest of my meal was lukewarm. It’s like the food was just sitting in the kitchen waiting to be put together. However, the flavor was outstanding. The second time I ordered the same thing because I figured it wouldn’t be cold twice and wanted to taste it in all its delicious glory. However, the second time was even worse. My brother and I both ordered it and the chicken was incredibly tough and the gravy was downright cold. Plus, they forgot to put the cheese on it. That time I sent it back and they did re-make, but it was exactly the same, cold and tough. I’m going to give this a third try and just get something different but at this point, I do not have high hopes. I couldn’t even drown my sorrows in alcohol because they still don’t have their liquor license (Probably not their fault but still a bit disheartening).

The service at the bar was phenomenal, the outside seating service was OK. The girl was very nice, but we had to repeatedly flag her down to get refills on our drinks because she rarely came to our table. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential, and I’m not...

Don't go here if you have kids! We had 3 adults and 2 kids and they treated us like a party of 15 people. The hostess sighed when I mentioned children. She said a 20 minute wait that turned into 30 minutes, while people coming after us were seated. No kids with them. When I talked to the manager, he said,"we can't make people get up and leave so you can have a table". I dont think this guy understood the concept of restaurants and customer interactions. I told him I do reviews of places I visit and I wasn't going to be favorable. He said "ok". The hostess was equally uncaring. She said the table needed for kids was still occupied, hence, they must not cater to kids if they only have one table for families. I thought highly of this place when I first visited, so much so that I told my sister and her family to try them, and flying biscuit treated us like crap. We went to waffle house instead. I don't expect perfection everywhere I go, but it's nice to see owner's and managers do what they can to rectify any situation. This place didn't do it. After 30 minutes, all they should have said, was," let's find you all a table", instead, they said sorry, bye. I cannot and will not support a business that makes you feel like...
