My sister and I tried Hawaiian Bros for the first time last night and I LOVED IT!! This will be one of my new go-to restaurants! We were greeted immediately upon entering by a kind, knowledgeable gentleman that described the kiosk order system to us in depth and made it such an easy first experience! My sister got the Huli Huli chicken plate and I got the Molokai chicken plate. Both proteins were so tender and flavorful! The rice was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, which is always a tough thing to master! The macaroni salad was DELISH! The veggies were so fresh! The spam sushi was wonderful and we loved their pineapple BBQ sauce! I also got the raspberry/pineapple Dole ice cream twist which was a perfect ending to a lovely meal! We also really enjoyed the canned Hawaiian juice drinks! The serving sizes of everything was plentiful! I ate my leftovers for lunch today and they were just as good re-heated! You definitely get your money’s worth here and it’s actually WORTH the money, which is so rare nowadays! The atmosphere, decor, and customer service was top notch! I was very happy that they had an outdoor seating area as well as indoor seating AND a drive through! I will be back often and EVERYONE should try Hawaiian Bros! Great job Hawaiian...

TL:DR Nothing particularly special about this chain. Flavors are a bit dull, and there aren't an exceptional amount of choices.
Details: This chain is newer to our area, so we stopped in for a bite. I have to admit, with a few more authentic island cuisine places that have come through, I was expecting more.
We tried 3 different dishes, plus their Spam Musabi, and nothing stood out at all. The spicy chicken was only mildly spicy, and the flavors all seemed to be very toned down.
Of course white rice is a staple, but that didn't help with the flavor I was looking for. The Teriyaki sauce was good, although not enough to make me visit again just for it.
We also tried the soft serve, both pineapple and raspberry. Both were disappointing. Consistency was more like marshmallow fluff than soft serve, and the flavors were again lacking.
Overall, not my cup of tea, but it wasn't inedible. Worth noting that my daughter liked the Kilauea Chicken, even though no one...
Read moreFirst time here, and I’m impressed. I’ll start off with why I didn’t put 5 stars.
Only 4 stars because in their picture on the paper menu it looks like more meat than what you actually receive. They end up putting the protein on top of another bed of rice. So if no modifications, you’re actually getting 2 servings of rice. Despite this, it was still so much food I had to bring some home.
Onto the best parts:
The building is aesthetically pleasing and bright! The second thing I noticed is that they have a drive through. (YAS!)
When you walk in, there’s a space where you order yourself on screens, but there is staff there to help you. You can modify and mix, the whole 9 yards.
The food was delicious. I got a mixed plate with the Kilauea & veggies. It says its spicy but it’s not! They have Dole whips which is always delicious wherever you go.
I was impressed with how fast the food came out as well as with the service. Definitely recommend trying it out if...
