This review is just to get information out there - information I provided to the hotel, but they didn't care. We stayed May 20 in Room 403 - top floor. After our stay I provided the front desk with a list of 6 major concerns with the room. The girl laid the list aside. I asked would it be presented to someone - yes - housekeeping. Me: These are serious issues that need addressed to protect your hotel and guests. Girl - Oh - maybe I'll give to the maintenance man. Me: He won't have resources to properly address the issues. * My thought is she threw the list away after we left.||So here is a public list of the issues. |1. The vent fan in the bathroom does not work and is heavily rusted - so obviously hasn't worked in a while. |2. The bathroom ceiling has paint bubbles and obvious moisture damage. |3. The bathroom ceiling above the sinks has a large distinct stain - maybe about the size of a commercial HVAC unit that probably sets on the roof above this bathroom ceiling? Cracks in the drywall. |4. The walls in the room have had obvious - poorly done, sheetrock repairs. |5. The refrigerator has a loud constant buzzing sound - all night long. |6. The carpet in the room was WET. I have cold feet and sleep in socks. When I got up in the night - my socks were WET and dirty stained from the carpet - which was wet the entire side of the bed closest to the bathroom. Couldn't find an obvious cause. ||I asked the girl to READ the list - to see that these were genuine concerns - she did and said, ok I'll give to the maintenance man. Never heard anything back from the hotel. These are safety and liability issues for this hotel. Management needs to be aware - and so do guests. We couldn't switch rooms because the hotel was full - it was after storms and there were disaster workers from around the state staying there. We were there because our home had been hit and we had been without power for several days and needed some respite. Which we did not get - the redeeming thing was we got a hot shower we couldn't get at home without power - after a night on a very hard bed in a sorry room. ALL these issues need to be...
Read moreHad a four night stay here last week. Check in and out was seamless. Parking was adequate. Air conditioner worked great. Free breakfast was your standard hotel freebie. The breakfast attendant was pleasant and kept the area more than clean. Beds thin, mattresses need to be replaced. Fitted sheets are not fitted since the mattress is so smashed and worn so it all jumbles up. Carpet is filthy in and out of room. Puddle stains in hallway, my grandsons feet were charcoal black going barefoot in the room (yes he is white). Lighting in bathroom is horrible. Shower rod falling off wall on both ends so when showering the curtain falls to the middle causing a flood in the bathroom and a cold shower given the breeze. No bathroom fan so gets real steamy since you need hotter water given the curtain issue. Chair in room was so worn and dirty, looked like a free chair out front of delapitated home. Both comforters had dried blood stains on them, like period stains?? Carpet at the door to room had a hole the size of a mango like a dog was desperately pawing to get out. Don't know if they allow pets just saying thats what it looked like. Both treadmills, 2 out of 2, were broken. Ice machines were broken on both the second and third floors. Pool was a pine green color, closed the first day. After seeing the man add so much shock and chlorine there is no way I'd let my worst enemy go in there. the second night there were clumps in the pool like a lily pad, I assume algae. They guy on the night shift was higher than a kite, which is no big deal but just saying. The tv in the room was barely on a stand, wobbly, about to fall down. Was a danger with a child in the room. I would never recommend this hotel. It is a glorified Motel 6 with elevators. Oh and lots of locals hanging out on the back patio and 2 in...
Read more...was the first thing out of my mouth when I got the first phone call from the front desk at 11:45pm during the first night of my stay. I was called as the room below me reported noise from my room! When asked when it was reported, the staff member said about an hour before he called my room. I kindly told him that he needs to be aware of the other events going on in the area as the local AAA baseball team won that night that resulted in the shooting off of fireworks for their victory. I heard the same noise, but was smart enough to look out the window to see them myself, then realized that's where it was coming from. He responded with an, "Oh, okay, sorry. I have to call since you are the only one on the 4th floor." I told him that I am rooming ALONE and it was not me and that he should not assume it is the only person on the 4th floor.
The next morning, instead of being woken up by my alarm, it was with someone banging the wall below me on the outside wall (the one with the window) of the property, not once, but twice within 5 min. I then received a call at 8:15am (!!!) that I initially did not answer as I was in the shower getting ready for the day. Knowing only the front desk calls the room, I dialed back and asked as to why I was called. Once again, the room below me was reporting noise from my room. I then informed him that I did not appreciate the accusation as the noise maker AAAAANNNNNDDDDD told him that if the room below me bangs on the wall one more time, I will be checking out and demanding my money back as this is ridiculous. Once again, the response was "Oh, okay, sorry."
