We have been anticipating this new restaurant since we’d heard rumors it was coming over a year ago. We finally found time to check it out and it was more than worth the wait. Beyond exciting to have another delicious, and maybe the coolest, spot in downtown Springfield. We started at the bar while we waited on a table, despite the welcoming lounge in the front of the restaurant. The three of us all tried different cocktails: the Japanese Slipper, Sea Serpent, and Mezcal Negroni. All were tasty, creative takes on classic cocktails and fun to watch be made. We also ordered the beer-battered green beans. Both with and without the included sauce—delish! We moved to the table shortly after and had the Szechuan Potatoes. Another tasty plate but definitely with some heat. The three of us had the butter chicken, Banh Mi, and the Hamachi Kama. Every plate was presented beautifully and the food was delicious. The restaurant as a whole is fun and unique. The menu, too, is a unique gem I hope people will check out while here!

Best of Springfield for sure! Incredible food and incredible drinks. I usually get the meatball platter and the hericot verts (both phenomenal) but today chef Clayton had his tomato sandwich on as a special and it definitely hit the spot. The service is always great and the atmosphere of the place is so cool. If you like tequila and espresso, give their “There’s no x in espresso” martini. I’m not a tequila fan but I highly enjoyed this drink. Go check it out for yourself, it’s worth it!

A pure Diamond in the Rough. Came here on a whim while driving to Indy. Expectations were not so high but they were exceeded and then some. The place is mostly a bar, which I would expect being so close to college campus but the restaurant and food that matches the vibe is also top notch. Bao Buns, Ottonomiyaki, Wings... Too bad we were driving so no cocktails. Service was 2nd to none. And next time I'm getting Shrimp and Grits

Probably some of the best food you can get in Springfield hands down. I'm an incredibly picky person who generally has the pallet of a pizza and nugget loving 5 year old. But the food here, despite a fair amount of it having ingredients I don't generally enjoy, absolutely manages to be more than the sum of its parts with the flavor profiles created. This restaurant alone has made me radically reconsider what I do and don't like. Chef Clayton's ability to make dishes with complex full spectrum (but not chaotic, crowded or overbearing) flavor profiles is something I've only really experienced here. If you want food so good, you have an identity crisis, come here. If you like friendly attentive staff, asian cuisine, burgers, fancy cocktails, music and/or places with slick stylish decor, moody lighting and a jazzy...

What a wonderful bar and restaurant! Greeted immediately by a wonderful hostess and bartender on a recent Wednesday afternoon. Loved the atmosphere from beginning to end. As newbies to the place, the bartender graciously walked us through the menu. We both choose the Avocado salad. We both have never had a more delicious, great looking and nicely proportioned size salad. All fresh, loaded top to bottom. Expertly cut and positioned avocado's and other items. Was at a show in Dayton and passing through on way home to Columbus. This place is a new Springfield GEM - we are going to make the trek back as it was so good and want to try the other delicious items noticed coming out of the kitchen. Well earned 5 star rating. Cheers to Hi Hat Social and hope to...
