Backstreet Billiards & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Springfield

I am from out of town and visiting the area for work. I am a regular billiards player in my hometown and was looking for a place to hang out for the night. I checked the Facebook page before ordering an uber to this place and it was open. After my uber left I rang the doorbell to get in and was told it was “keycard only tonight” and the rude woman hung up as I asked if I could stand inside and wait for my next uber. The Facebook page mentioned nothing about “keycard only nights”. A few moments later a young couple arrived and was immediately let in after telling me they were just regulars and didn’t have keycards. When the employee opened the door, I kindly asked if I could stand inside out of the rain to wait on my uber and she brushed me off like a stray animal. I will obviously never be in this town again so I wont need to worry about this terrible business. I hope this review is seen by any newcomers and it steers them...

Came here with friends for one of their birthdays, I accidentally brought my expired state ID but it clearly states my birthday (which had already passed), the employees(lady)in the front , checked it and said she couldn’t take it, I have no issue bc it was expired, we responded with “I was 21” and then she proceeds to say “shes not 21” with a snobby rude attitude. I have no issue not being let in because it was expired, where I have an issue is rude snobby employees thinking they’re right. If she took the moment to actually read my birthday on my state ID, then she would know I’m old enough to be there. LOL at some of the reviews- 1st Robert Price- It doesn’t cost $ to get in, there is a key fob system- which allows the bartender to KNOW the individuals who have access to come in (yes that is a $5 fee) IF YOU WANT. 2nd- it’s funny that the first review someone leaves is all good, something happens and then you bash the place.. immaturity at its finest 🤷‍♀️..
