The Historic Bushnell Building — Restaurant in Springfield

The Bushnell Building was the perfect place to have our wedding. Lisa was very kind and helpful in getting us in to look at it quickly and setting us up with lots of great vendor options. We rented the whole space to have ceremony, cocktail hour and reception under one roof. It was the perfect layout and amount of space for all guests to enjoy the day. The parking lot was finished in time, and there is ample parking around there anyways. Everything was beautiful and easy. They even made clean up and next day pick up so easy for us. The Bushnell team is awesome! Our rehearsal dinner was just upstairs at Stella Bleu, which I can't recommend enough. Delicious local restaurant with a team that truly care about and love what they do. The best thing we ever did was to get in touch with Theresa Hartley for wedding planning. This amazing woman took my vision and ran with it in the best way. I run a business from 3 hours away, and I told her I wanted to enjoy the process of planning and the wedding and not be weighed down with stress when we first spoke. She reminded me of that several times throughout the process, and it made such an impactful difference in my experience. She was excellent at clarifying my needs and communicating them to everyone involved. I had zero worries the entire time. We worked together beautifully, and she had amazing connections throughout the area so everyone came vetted. We planned a 160 person wedding, within budget, in a 5 1/2 month time frame and ENJOYED the process. She was warm, kind, professional, accomodating, organized, clear...everything you could want in a dream wedding planner. I could not recommend her more. We also loved working with Andy Grimm as a photographer. He was texting me days before when snow was on the forecast to assure me we would get magical photos. He was a hype man, so fun and easy to be around, passionate about what he does and hustled the whole night to get shots of people truly in the moment enjoying themselves. This is what I told him was important to me, and he totally delivered! He is quick, communicative and talented. Our cake was delicious, unique, affordable and expertly handled by Mandy at Sweet Sassafrass Bakery. Ambience did an incredible job decorating for us, in conjunction with Balloon Dog. I would rave more about Rick and his team at Ambience, but Theresa knows him and handled all of that for me! :). Amazing!! Please let me know if you have any further...
