Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in St. Louis

Went here for lunch. There were only three customers in the store when we walked in and by the time we went to order we were the only people in there. We waited thirty minutes in total for our food. We waited at the counter to be helped, and we were the only people in line, and we waited about ten minutes for someone to take our order DESPITE there being three workers. The worker who took our order stopped in the middle of our order to talk to someone who walked i and text on his phone. Then we proceeded to wait about twenty minutes for two sandwiches to get done. The sandwiches were okay, but one of them had like several handfuls of jalapeños, which we had to remove since it was way too much. Also, their drink machine was mostly out of syrup so drink options were limited. One sandwich was delicious and the restrooms were fine, not clean but not dirty either. For thirty minutes, i would rather go to a sit down restaurant and i recommend the same to anyone wanting...

I can’t even rate the food because we never got it, I would give negative stars if possible. I don’t even know where to start with this review…what an abysmal establishment. We went to today because I had a coupon for a free sub from a previous occasion where our order was messed up. First we got the wrong sub today and the worker looked at me like I had 4 heads when I brought the sub back. Then she gave me another sub and it was also wrong, we didn’t order cheese and there was cheese oozing from all sides. Then the manager decided it was with her time to argue with us that we were wrong. Oh and they have to be the absolute slowest restaurant in the world, I don’t understand how they can be sooooo slow. 15+ minutes to make a cold turkey sandwich. And no, I don’t want to hear they were busy, they’re employees move like they a working in a pool of molasses. Anyhow, I will never waste my time or...

I went in on my lunch break and ordered ONE (1) sub which took 30 minutes, basically my entire lunch break. I asked for no Mayo and no mustard on ONE (1) sub that took 30 minutes in which I still got Mayo on it. Not a huge deal, but what really set the bar low at this terrible and a joke of an establishment is that a young man working there threw his apron on the floor outside the bathrooms and proceeded to use the restroom then put his apron back on and continued cooking. Don’t believe me? Management check your cameras around 5:30 on 8/21/23. I’ve managed restaurants before and if I would have saw this that person would be out the door.
